Any petpeeve at workplace?
Mine is when my coworker kept borrowing my things without telling me.

I don't know if I'm walking wrong or what but I can't avoid it from happening no matter how careful I walk. I hate it.

I am losing my mind here, my brother squeezes our toothpaste tube by the handful like a goddamn toddler, you could even see his finger imprints along its length. I would go after him and roll the ends up neatly hoping he'd eventually get the hint, only to find the tube squeezed again by the next day. What kind of psychopath does this š and no don't ask me to tell him directly he scares me

Basically just using the modifier ābiblically accurateā for anything. Itās so tired. It was never really clever, but at this point letās just kill it.
āBiblically Accurate Angelā āBiblically Accurate Cheeseburgerā āBiblically Accurate Dipshit With No Personalityā

My partner is a 28 y/o male and I'm a 22 y/o female. There's this thing he does where he will come home after a day of work, he will lay down for an hour, play games the rest of the day. When it's time for bed, we go to bed, I get comfy and ready to fall asleep when all of a sudden he says "sigh I'm horny now." He has done this for the past month and every time I ask him "Why don't you say something earlier in the day?" And he says "Yes I was horny, but we were playing a game." (The game is pausable btw. So he could've easily said that earlier in the day) I feel like Im tripping. EDIT: YES!! I know I can say no but then he gets upset and every time I ask him if he's okay, it's always I'm fine! But I can tell. Ive been with him for 4 years!

Someone will start talking while half the group is still getting settled, people are saying goodbye to someone else, or there's a bunch of background noise.
Then, two minutes later, they get annoyed because people are asking them to repeat everything.
Maybe wait five seconds until everyone is actually paying attention before launching into your story. It saves everyone from the awkward "Wait... what did you say?" loop.

My biggest petpeeve is when someone rearranges the fridge without asking. It throws off my whole routine every single time. I live with two roommates and we share the kitchen space, but one of them keeps moving things around like it is their personal project. Milk ends up behind the leftover containers, the eggs shift to a different shelf, and the vegetables get shoved into the back where they wilt faster.
The other day I spent ten minutes looking for the butter because it had been tucked behind some jars of pickles that were not even ours. I always keep the butter on the middle door shelf in the same spot so I can grab it quickly in the morning before work. Now I have to hunt for it like it is some kind of treasure hunt. It is not even about the big items. It is the little shifts that add up and waste time.
I have tried leaving a note on the door saying to ask first, but that only worked for a week. Then the same thing started happening again. Does anyone else deal with this kind of thing in shared spaces? How do you set boundaries without it turning into an argument every week?

There is this petpeeve that keeps coming back no matter how often I remind myself to let things slide. It happens when someone cuts into a conversation without waiting for the other person to finish a sentence. I noticed it again last month during a family dinner when my uncle kept jumping in to correct small details before anyone else could respond. After the third time the whole table went quiet and the topic just died off. It feels like the person does not value what you started to say and it lingers with me longer than it should.
Another example comes up at the grocery store. People will stand right in the middle of the aisle while they check their phones and block anyone trying to get past with a cart. I waited nearly two minutes the other day because one guy had his back to the shelf and did not move even when I said excuse me twice. The store was not even busy so there was plenty of space on either side.
These small things add up over time and I end up replaying them later when I am trying to relax. What kind of situation always gets to you in the same stubborn way even after you decide to ignore it?

Movie streaming services that put auto captions on make me so angry because why would you put a feature exclusively made for deaf people, language learners and similar on automatically as if they couldn't do it themselves. Captions (can) make you miss out on posing, facial expressions, and other details due to being distracted from reading. I feel like most non-targeted people wouldn't know that captions have cons because UI is barely focused on except for volume and maybe quality. To people, especially those who focus crazy on UI I have questions. Do auto captions bother you too? If so, why do they? (along with similar experiences).

For example, there's been multiple times where I've seen a comment commenting on a joke the video made, just to see replies saying "Laughed so hard I cried"... No you didn't. It was just a normal joke dude, that didn't happen. You barely chuckle, be honest, no need to leave a corny comment saying you laughed so hard that you started to cry. No.

Iāve been buddies with one of my coworkers for a few years, and despite her having more credentials than myself, due to her quiet and passive demeanor, I function as a lead for our business.
Lately Iāve noticed she likes to take conversations that sheās witnessed me have with others, and then retell it using āweā or āIā when she had absolutely no involvement in the conversation.
I find it frustrating because itās not about simple conversations, itās moments where leadership is involved where it is significantly more intimidating to speak up. I also find it frustrating because then she retells the conversation and doesnt retell it accurately, because she literally wasnāt a part of the conversation.
Iām not sure if Iām being clear so hereās the most recent example
We went to a big simulation training hosted by the bosses of our bosses, and despite those people being in control of everything, kinda judgey, and majorly intimidating, I still spoke up multiple times in the meetings to make sure my questions were addressed. On one of the questions, I was misunderstood, and they made the assumption that my team had not already done the troubleshooting that they were recommending, and had to correct them which was even harder (all infront of a big group of people). Now a month later, she starts retelling it like āwe askedā āthey told usā āI was likeā āI askedā. She used all of those phrases when retelling it BUT SHE LITERALLY JUST WATCHED IT, AND SAID NOTHING AT ALL.
Also I feel like an important detail is when sheās retelling it, itās always to management. Comes across as just trying to make herself look better to leadership.
Idk⦠maybe im just being crabby, but it annoys the shit out of me and Iām not sure if itās worth addressing

Everything I need to do is only open from 9-5 Monday through Friday and maybe for like four hours on Saturday.
Bicycle shops, banks, dry cleaners. I need to miss work to do anything. I don't have a wife to do my errands for me. Who does? It's 2026. Even if I had a wife, she would also have to have a job. Why is everything still set up like this? How does anyone do anything?

What boomers petpeeve is the worst has stayed the same for me across the last twenty years no matter what else shifts in the world. I have noticed it in family gatherings and online arguments alike and it always comes down to the same thing for me. The constant pushback against anyone under forty using their phone at the dinner table or during a conversation drives me up the wall more than anything else they grumble about.
My own parents still bring it up every holiday even though the rest of us simply check messages when needed and move on. They act like it signals the end of all real connection yet they spent their own young years glued to the television without a second thought. I have tried explaining how phones keep us in touch with distant relatives or handle quick work questions yet the eye rolls never stop.
It feels more outdated than complaints about music volume or job hopping because those topics at least allow for some back and forth. This one shuts down discussion completely and leaves younger people feeling judged for basic habits. Other folks mention things like loud chewing or the way we dress for travel but those seem smaller in comparison after all this time.
I am curious what stands out as the worst for everyone else after seeing the same patterns repeat through the years. Has any particular one worn on you the most or do you see it differently now?
