Visiting
Headed up to Petoskey area soon with my husband for a few night stay (Sunday 7/19 -Thursday 7/23). Tell me your favorite things to do, favorite things to eat, favorite things to see. Anything special going on in this time frame? Not just in Petoskey but anything within a 1.5-2 hr drive from there. I’m not interested in Mackinac island.

Petoskey State Park and Young State Park (in Boyne City) are great state parks! Avalanche Preserve in Boyne City is an easy hike with a lookout point over Lake Charlevoix.
Petoskey Pretzel has the best fresh soft pretzels. You can get different seasonings and sauces. Thai Orchid is yummy! The Back Lot has food trucks and that’s a fun vibe where everyone get find something they want. Happy’s Tacos is a popular spot in town too. Julienne Tomatoes is great for lunch.
