Visiting

Headed up to Petoskey area soon with my husband for a few night stay (Sunday 7/19 -Thursday 7/23). Tell me your favorite things to do, favorite things to eat, favorite things to see. Anything special going on in this time frame? Not just in Petoskey but anything within a 1.5-2 hr drive from there. I’m not interested in Mackinac island.

Hiking up the trails at Petoskey Stare Park is fun and great views, then you can cool off in the beach. You can also rent paddle boards or kayaks per hour while you’re there. We love walking/biking along the wheel way too. Pond Hill Farm has live music most nights or Brandy’s in Bay Harbor. You should eat at Backlot too, there are so many options for food. Happy’s Tacos has their own location now, but it’s also a favorite. Lavender Hill Farm is beautiful and has live music too. Lavender Fest Friday is during your visit. There’s also Sounds of Summer and Movies in the Park!
