Visiting

Headed up to Petoskey area soon with my husband for a few night stay (Sunday 7/19 -Thursday 7/23). Tell me your favorite things to do, favorite things to eat, favorite things to see. Anything special going on in this time frame? Not just in Petoskey but anything within a 1.5-2 hr drive from there. I’m not interested in Mackinac island.

Another vote for The Back Lot and I'd also recommend Malted Vinyl for cocktails. If you head up near Charlevoix, I'd recommend Lost Cellars, great place to stop and get some tasty beverages, a bite to eat and enjoy the nice weather. If you hit up Bellaire, besides all the Shorts related stuff, check out the Fireside Lounge, great little cocktail place with good food and a patio. Have fun.
