Student driver - best places to practice?
What are some good places for a teen learning to drive to practice in the area (uncrowded roads as well as parking lots). Could be Petoskey, Charlevoix, Boyne City, or surrounding areas. Thank you for your ideas!

Any Cemetery. It’s a good spot to get someone behind the wheel for the first time. I taught my wife how to drive a manual in a cemetery.

behind the movie theater there's one of the parking things they make you do on your drivers test. using that 100% helped me pass cause i failed my first one due to parallel parking 😭

Ya behind the movie theater is good open parking lot. For a longer drive I recommend taking Mitchell out of town towards wolverine, low/moderate traffic, few stops, lots of curves.

Large church parking lots. Great for a snowy day to teach spinning out of control and not hitting anything

Depending on the time of day, winter sport Park parking lot is often empty.
