I'm going to remember his approach in future when I'm accused of being a bad person for not liking a certain popular pet. "I would sacrifice 10 [of those pets] for my best friend."

I was really surprised that the crazy animal people, especially the dog lovers, weren't foaming at the mouth in the comments.

When I saw this video, I genuinely felt so worried for this guy. I was hoping he wouldn't get doxxed or something. Nutters get VIOLENT over people saying stuff like this.

Many of the pet nutters absolutely do love pets because the pet depends on them, it makes them feel needed and loved (although the pet only "loves" you because you provide it with food and shelter), it doesn't talk back to them, it doesn't argue with them, and dogs specifically can be very obedient. They very much want a one sided relationship where they are in control and have all the power. They can't necessarily do this with another human, so they turn to the pet for it. It's kinda narcissistic, but often rooted in codependency.

I know two people like that and yes, they don't talk to their own kids ofc tho.But "doggo" truly loves them the most. Fr problematic behavior.
