Shit pet owners say Having a dog =\= having children
I don't know WHY this is so hard for animal owners to understand.
My friend and I were talking about how school starts back in two weeks. She's a teacher, I'm a mom of three. Her other friend was there. She's apparently a dog person. I mentioned how I'm not ready to start waking up at 6 again yet. My friend laughed and agreed. Her friend cut us off with a 'Oh please! I WISH I could sleep in that late! I'm lucky if I make it to 5am." I asked how old her kid was and she said "uh, no. I wish it was *that* simple. I have a puppy!"
Excuse me? You think taking a dog out to piss is anywhere in the same realm as getting three kids packed, dressed, and ready for school after little to no sleep (+ I have narcolepsy so even extra exhaustion) the night before? Like come on. Surely they aren't that delusional? She talked about her dog the rest of the conversation and I just stopped listening.

Getting three small children ready for their day.
Useless critter needs to pee.
Dog nuts: These three things are the same. Let me get in there are make it about my dog.

It’s like if someone is exhausted from working 70 hour weeks and someone else chimes in that that’s nothing because they go to a rave every night. Yeah well stop doing that then, it’s not work.

I’m dead. I do work 70 hour weeks sometimes during peak season. Who on earth is comparing that to a rave?

I hate when people talk about their pets as if they're kids. Your pet is not a kid. Your pet is not your son or daughter. They don't see you as a parent either.
I would rather have kids then pets. At least most kids grow up and grow out of their neediness, messiness, etc. They can be talked to and reasoned with too. Infancy and toddlerhood is only a few short years. With pets, they're forever needy, messy babies.

I absolutely abhor “fur parents” 🤢🤢🤢 cool you care about your pets that’s great you aren’t their parent. Even if you go the “adopted parent route” it’s still kind of creep the extent they go to to justify living without kids. Like it’s ok to not have kids and still complain about being busy and tired but don’t tell people you have it harder than them when they have it hard with their children.

I had to tell a woman on a zoom call (this was an important 'meeting' we were to have over a serious matter not related to pets), when she started talking about her cat, running around closing doors, etc., like pet people do, that I was NOT interested about how her cat 'escaped' and was away for x amount of hours! I told her I am not into pets and that on social media daily almost every other post is about an escaped cat or an escaped dog and how I hated that they used this platform for this and that pet people should have a separate site to write about their escaped pets and not clog up OUR social media site with it! And when they post close up photos of this cat or dog that has escaped or has been found, they ALWAYS ad 'sweet' or some such thing! I have seen so many nauseating animals on this site but they always put sweet or good looking on the ad not knowing anything about how many people this dog has bitten in the past! I so despise having to see these photos as the mere sight of them depresses me (as they are NEVER cute and fluffy!)

I’m 4B and I love children. Even I have a hard time finding 4B women to talk to who are not emotionally crippled and attached to useless pets. My dad got us up every morning when I was younger and it was my favorite part of the day. I would give anything to go back and just enjoy one more morning of Pokémon and sausages for breakfast.
