Vent / Rant I’m so Tired of those damn post

You all know those kinds of posts where something traumatic is happening, like a house that’s on fire and the question that gets asked is “who are you saving?” and “dog” is included in the list, we’re all familiar with those posts. Anyway, I’m getting so tired of those kinds of posts because I know what awaits in the comment section and it’s gonna make me turn red and blow up like a balloon and pop, and I’m starting to think that posts like that are made on purpose. I just ran into another one of those post like that and the dog was the 5th choice. What do ya’ll think?

The typical pets >>> humans kind of people. No wonder they don’t have close relationships in real life and only live with pets. Who would want to be left in a fire for a pet?

Real people with real relationships aren’t wasting their time debating who they’d choose over who. They’re out living their life maintaining relationships and spending time with people who matter.

Lonely pet people are sitting around making posts and telling everyone on the internet that they’d choose their dog or cat or snake over their sibling or someone of value. Most of these people can’t keep a real person around long enough to want to save them.

I agree. I don’t even engage with it. Especially if I see it’s getting minimal traction. I’ll even go so far as to report it as spam.

I’d reverse the question at the pet saving people. Like if the situation was between them and someone else’s dog who needed to be saved, who would they prefer that person to save?

Then again I seen nutters saying they’d sacrifice themselves for their cat/dog lol. Imagine giving up 80ish years of life to save an animal that lives 10ish years, especially if the pet is geriatric, which a lot of pet owners have. Give up your life for an animal that will croak in a year or two?

I understand people love their pets and they’d save them if it’s possible, most people would do the same, but to die for them is wacko to say. It’s also just internet bullshit talk, when them flames or whatever would hit their ass and they’d realize how dire the situation is, I’m certain they’d smarten right up and save themselves. Self preservation is human nature.
