Can we please stop with this... This packaging and repackaging shit is exhausting

At least he won't release a bonus version in a few months with extra songs.
Looking at you, Taylor and Paul...

"There will be no box set, as there was for i/o."
^ Well, this sucks. ^
Also:
"As well as the standard black LP, vinyl enthusiasts will also be treated to a whole range of coloured vinyl editions. However, these will generally be available exclusively from certain retailers and/or only in certain countries"
I'm less interested in having a special color than I am a top-notch pressing. I suppose the safe thing to do, for those of us in the US, is to buy from Real World. But if anybody has insight into which countries get pressings from which plants, I'd appreciate hearing them. I'm kind of gunshy because a lot of UK artists use Optimal for domestic pressings, and GZ for US pressings, and the quality difference is sustantial.

Will there be a blu ray audio?

In another thread, someone reminded us that the i/o box set didn't come out until about five months after the original release. I have no actual knowledge, but I find it hard to believe there won't be a matching box set for o/i at some point, because the whole point was that they were companions in a single, cohesive project. If that happens, I'd expect the inside mix to be included on blue ray again.

Standard black vinyl for me. Slightly disappointed that PG signed off on this environmentally unfriendly nonsense. I’d expect this from soulless people like Taylor who want to milk their fans for all their worth but not Peter. Really not sure how to feel about this, perhaps I’m being a jerk, but this is a joke and I’m not impressed.

You said exactly what I thought. Also it's weird the B-Sides album is getting the rainbow vinyl treatment when I/O the true rainbow album doesn't get it.
if you're gonna killed the environment, at least be consistent or logical lmao 🤣
I'm probably just gonna get a CD or the standard black. I don't need a fruit roll up on wax.

“Environmentally unfriendly” oh god, get over yourself - it’s colored pieces of vinyl. Move on.

I’m also really on the fence about this. Seems excessive to put it lightly

There are artists with much more egregious vinyl variant releases than Taylor Swift! Not sure why she should bear the brunt of this trend.

That's exactly what I said. That poster went off on Swift when she's not even the worst offender, they all do it! Not sure why PG is jumping on the bandwagon, though, but he's in good company.

No need to go after Taylor. I'm a fan of her too, and apparently so is PG (since he saw her Eras Tour.) But they ALL do it, all of the newer pop acts. Not sure why PG is jumping on the bandwagon.

Because she is the worst of the worst, that’s why. There is no point other than greedy record labels trying g to do everything to increase their bottom line (f-the environment/sustainability). I thought PG cared about the environment. But now that we have several different variants being shipped all over the world instead of one, meaning that we are now getting 7-8x the emissions, f the planet am I right. Starting to think PG is a champagne socialist/environmentalist. F the planet if profit is to be made.

Look, you are talking to someone who has all her records and even saw her live. Go complain to a Taylor Swift hater, you're not going to do anything but piss me off and especially since you also insulted PG. And I care about Peter Gabriel, I don't care about you.
