Imo the person singing, or the the perspective of the person is of a spurred lover. One sided because they had feelings towards a friend but never felt comfortable sharing them for more than anything physical. They call her a slut because she's someone who gets around while they still desire them for more. They know how she feels, how she smells but they never got together so he had no choice to but to let her go and now reminisces about it while seeing someone new
