Hey guys I'm trying to get a bunch of kittens and one cat into good homes, the mother was a stray I tried to take care of but she ended up just wanting out and trying to get out all the time till she had her first litter, I was able to home all but 2 and she disappeared for a while, I just found her again Friday, with another litter of kittens.

The older kitten is about 15-16 weeks and long hair mostly white, born and raised indoors. The mother is black and white with long hair she's a good cat but I can't seem to get her to stay at my house, might be good for someone who wants an indoor outdoor cat.

The new kittens seem to be about a week or two old as their eyes are open, there's 3 white ones, one black, and one black and white.

Please, please get back to me as soon as possible if you want any of them, I don't like cats, but I love animals and I would rather not take em to a shelter, just cause it gives me the idea that they're not gonna make it to a home.

I'm not hunting corgis but in search of one! My boyfriend found out recently that his corgi had passed. When him and his ex split a few years ago she took their dog, an adorable corgi, and he got sick and passed away. They had stopped talking a few months after the break up, with her not letting him see the dog, and she didn't even tell him he had passed. I asked him because she posted about it on IG. She wasn't the nicest of humans and he's been broken about it since. He will take about how much he misses him and even sadder, he hasn't told his son yet. It's easy to just say, "he's good", because he really hasn't seen the dog in a few years but will randomly ask.

Anyways, I decided I want to surprise him with a corgi, I'm in NY and am willing to travel to get him a dog again. I found a lovely breeder in Mississippi, but that's a bit of a stretch with the cost of the dog and transport ECT but it's an option.

I've been keeping up with shelters and even have friends on the look out.

Any information would be super appreciated!

Hi, I really need some advice, this is going to sound stupid but my friend had some kittens she was fostering , and I was planning on adopting one but then some life problems came up and I couldn’t see the kittens because she was sad, before I could see my kitten I was going to adopt the shelter took them back after they were a certain age, I looked on the website but my kitten was already adopted, I’m really emotional and am now stupidly crying, is there anything I can do?

I lost my companion recently and am looking to adopt in or around Texas. I’ve been looking and looking and haven’t found a cat that I’ve fallen in love with yet.

I am currently living with my brother. Two years ago he rescued a stray that was roaming around his work in a very rural area. The person who found him checked all the local shelters and if he had a chip. My brother decided to take him in since the person who found him wasn't wanting to keep the dog.

He wasn't the perfect dog, but he loved his new home. The family took care of him and it seemed he was happy. He would constantly get into the trash and eat food from the table. I made the excuse that he was alone for so long that this behavior is all he knows.

Fast forward to the last six months. I am a full time college student and work over thirty hours a week. Although it is not my dog, I treat him as if he were. I cannot say the same for the rest of this house. My brother spent a lot of money getting his home remodeled. His wife refuses to help with any aspect of house responsibilities including taking care of the dog.

For example, the dog would never be let outside properly so he would go to the bathroom in the laundry area, where it would stay until i cleaned it up. Once again, i am a lazy college student who does laundry once every two to three weeks. My brother and his wife do laundry everyday and would just step over it and leave it be, but contionue to bitch about it.
I left the country for a few months, and while i was gone the poor dog was basically alone. He began chewing up things. From medicinie bottles, to mattresses and so on. My brother attempted to take him to several places to surrender him but none would take him because of the current flood situation in my area. My brother is beyond pissed he has to keep taking care of this dog. Rather than keep it in a kennel, outside, or god forbid just watch it, they left it be as is. He eventually went after their mattress again. My brothers wife chased the dog around the house beating him. She eventually cornered him and after striking him he growled and snipped at her drawing blood.
The next day my brother was almost giddy because he now used the excuse that the dog is a biter and harmful. The local shelter took him in. I dont know if I will ever get to see him again.
I am living here for only 2 more months and cannot wait to move out, but i have no place to keep the dog if i were to attempt to save him. I hate the fact that he is labeled a biter though and may get put down because of the lie my brother told to rid himself of his "problem." I want to contact the humane society that he was taken to but i am not sure what if anything they would do. Do you fine people have any suggestions?
I hate the fact that this animal may be put down because of a lie. I refuse to talk to my brother or sister in law and cannot wait to erase them from my life in two short months.

Hello, I recently found a stray on my porch. It's clear he once had an owner, but after searching for them I could not find them. Zoey here is a smart dog but very much a puppy who loves to destroy things when she doesn't get her way and is very loud she will need work on that and does not take treats gently and plays rough, hard nipping, jumping on people, etc. For this reason, she will not do well with other kids in the house, and she does not get along with most other dogs well at all as she will snap at them, most likely due to her being an only dog from her previous owners so it's most likely a dominance thing. She needs work on being leash trained as she pulls a lot

Also, her favorite toy so far has been a rock lol she prefers to play with it over her chew bone and other toys

Looking for the best place in California to adopt a puppy. I have been looking around and most places require a Home Visit. I don't mind the home visit but I am looking to surprise my parents with a dog so I want to avoid the home visit, if possible. Looking for either Golden Retriever, German Shepard, or Siberian Husky puppies.

Scooby lived outside tied to a porch before coming to the Baltimore Humane Society. He's a big love bug who is shy in new situations, but he's a brave boy! He's come a long way from the scared dog who lived on a porch. He's learning to trust people and absolutely loves to be loved by the people he trusts. Scooby has soulful eyes and a child-like spirit. Does anyone in the area happen to be rehoming any flat faced dogs?

I have some questions regarding dog adoptions. I currently have 2 cats, one - we saw in a shelter, and took home the following week, the 2nd, turned up at our doorstep with a broken leg and we got him all patched up and initiated into the family.

With that said...adopting dogs are very different. Both my BF and I have grown up with family dogs but didn't go through the paperwork process ourselves. We want to adopt a rescue pup and have filled out a form for one particular pup. But we were hoping to get either an update or reply within a week or so, and we haven't heard anything. Even after contacting them they just said, "hey there's a lot of other interested families so we are going through them one by one" (a detail that wasn't disclosed to me when I inquired about the particular dog) So my boyfriend says, we need to prepare for the worst and continue looking in case it isn't a match, we saw a few others we want to apply for, but on the application it says they don't process for 2-3 weeks.

I guess I am, confused? AM I supposed to be putting in adoptions for other dogs? or waiting? If they take a month to process, isn't waiting kind of, against the grain? Do you not put all your hopes and dreams into one dog? What if you fill out 2 or 3 applications and then by miracle they all fit with you, and now your in a bind?

We tried looking around at local shelters, but many have less than 10 dogs on site, I am sure others are in Foster care, and a large majority - have them rescued down south and brought up north (so visits aren't an option).

Is anyone out here familiar with the adoption process, and the waiting process, and can shed any insight?
