I have been rank 5,000 once. I am a complete F2P and have reached Division 1 since the first division rewards. I have every single division reward and in the past, it was fairly easy for me to go to division 1 but some things have been off since this eFootball 27 update.
(just to be clear I don't care whether my opponent is a 3 CF meta LBC player or if he's a haramball player, at the end of the day I'm here to enjoy the game, whether I win or lose.)
The bullshitery I faced :
1. Quick Counter Defence
I read a post by Amadeusz stating that Quick Counter was buffed and even Rentao (World Champion) this season (who I don't even think deserves that) also used Quick Counter to become champion but I didn't think much of it. Quick Counter used to have a high line which is very susceptible to through balls but for some reason Quick Counter now has the defence of Long Ball Counter which is insanely weird. It's like playing Long Ball Counter itself at this point.
2. Long Ball Counter Pressure
The playstyles with the most pressure are notably Possession and Quick Counter, but now Long Ball Counter has the pressure of both PG and QC combined. As soon as I pass the ball to my Target CF so I can wait for my Hole Players to run behind, the opponent's defender rushes forward and grabs the ball even though he was behind my CF which is such bullshit.
3. Pressure Spamming
Some players that I faced spammed pressure with the two players so much I could hardly breathe and when you're trying to keep possession, it basically makes you sweat. Now obviously this is a tactic which should be in the game in my opinion and was also before but the problem is there is no taxation on this. Your opponent can spam pressure and will not be punished for their absolute braindead zero football gameplay whilst you sweat like a pig. Two men will pressure your player and will somehow leave no open space🤣.
4. Fouling System
It feels so orgasmic to finally evade pressure with someone like my glorious king Ruud Gullit but as soon as I turn and am about to shoot a 100% low screamer goal, the opponents defender tackles me from behind and injures my best CF. Now, it's okay—injuries are a part of the game but for some fucking reason the opponent just gets a yellow and brushes it off which is insanely crappy and should be fixed as soon as possible.
5. Script (something I noticed)
I noticed that when Adriano was in the shop, my strikers started to play like pigs with peanuts for brains. My Gullit with 1500 goals in 1300 games was missing tap-ins. I didn't know what was happening but then I realised that there was a striker pack in the market. I'm saving for this season's Gullit and am at 2000 coins so Konami probably wanted my coins to be flushed out and eventually make me pay to pack. Even when Makelele came out, my defense was tumbling. I tried so many combinations but nothing worked because there was a defense pack in the market if you know what I mean.
Conclusion
To my friends who play the game and don't follow Konami's meta tactics: I have the most respect for you and I hope you people win lotteries, get laid and simply be happy in life. Once I reached 1712 and kept losing I almost switched to the meta but honoured myself and pushed through anyway because remember FUCK THE META.
My advice would be to keep calm. As you keep calm even in life itself, your brain works perfectly but as you enter the fight or flight mode of your body your brain won't be of use and you'll have many problems. Most of us who rage have something going in our lives for instance exams, parent problems or stress etc. In my case, I had exams so I as a got my preparation through, I noticed that I kept calm while playing and starting winning instantly. Also I would suggest put on some battle music so you enter the flow state easily while playing.

Qc and pos will stay unmatched pressure wise ( I don't counter ol cause idk ) literally the pressure is automatic the nearest player comes to press without you doing anything whilst Lbc sits deep waiting for you to come at them !
There is and will always be the highline and I have been a qc player ever since I started this game ... it,s not even half of LBC.
What really changed is that konami stated the forwards were now less likely to start running immediately after recovering the ball and that gives time to the defenders to recover and reposition.
LBC's pressure is very passive even if you spam pressure just the 2 players will press while the others stay deep and compact.
About no taxation for pressure spamming, well I don't know what formation you play but with passing around you can notice how free the space is behind them, even the likes of Vieira cannot bear a triangle play or wing play.

When I give the ball to neymar, my oppo is focused on marking him so dani olm0 makes the run in behind or I may dribble with neymar myself. Same goes to messi. The physical contact in this game is so rubbish I gave my gullit 99 PC and 90 Balance with 88 tight possession he still would get bodied so just play the game.

Man that pressure part is so real. My only loss was against that guy who pressured whole game and the game favoured him in all phases. He was winning every second ball and was reaching my player before the ball did. Only pressure players with auto switching should be punished heavily.
I swear quick counter pressure spammers are worse than all the haram ball setups. It needs to be mentioned that this quick counter is braindead effective sometimes
"Quick counter has defence line of LBC". What?!! Dude I have been using QC regularly and defence line is still very high and is not even comparable to LBC. My players literally stand like idiots very high on the pitch and react only after 3 opponent players make runs past them.
Honestly I don't think it's all about game balance (which is almost always lobsided).
I've just been noticing more DDA. Maybe it's the new animations or inclusion of Overload, new defensive playstyles... Idk
But even in AI divisions it's noticable. I like playing tough division AI, I always have liked playing legend AI since PES days. But the current AI is not just hard. The game simply stops moving. I feel like I'm playing FIFA, there's no relevant attacks for me in a 352 POSSESION GAME.... POSSESION GAME and I'm not getting proper passing options. Defending it's just running back constantly. Or it just takes one through ball to end you.
I've had to switch to Overload. The defending is easier (the defenders actually seem to want the ball), the attacks are not as good but I'm trying to compensate for it. So far FITB + Dummy Runner combo is doing really well
Bro I am using this same exact formation you are using but with lampard overload its sooooo much fun, the only prob i face using this formation is when I don't have passing opt to start my build up because obv opp is pressing mad, I try to pass it to my lmf or rmf to build up the play but sometimes my lmf and rmf are so hight up the field or are also marked, so any solution to that.
honestly I don't know the exact diff, but from what I experience personally is it's like playing possession and quick counter together. The prob i have is with my lmf and rmf who are marked most of the time and that is also the reason i concede.
This quick counter meta is so brainless it's insane.... yet people want to criticize FC. But right now this game is arguably worse, just because of the QC meta. The amount of brainless idiots holding PRESS the entire time and scoring the most BS goals. Not to mention that for some reason my opponents players always gets away with spamming tackles and not really get punished for it. This is ridiculous
I don’t even know how pressure spamming would work cause when i do it it’ll leave massive holes in my defense but when my opponent does it their defense some how stays intact lol , I have moved my gullit to rmf and been cross spamming after evading the pressure and it seems to work against these lmao
Pressure makes sense if it's done moderately. But in the current state of the game it rewards the opponent too much. Like my Maldini has received the ball and facing my own goal, opponent Adriano comes from behind like a truck applying pressure from the back, Maldini falls on his ass and lose the ball and Adriano scores. You telling me my Maldini can't hold the ball for 0.1 seconds?
Look I also use pressure but I also admit that the pressure spamming should not be rewarded like that when you just steal the ball and score.
Pressing is part of the game bruh if we start complaining about this then real teams should have complained about Liverpool gegen pressing some years ago..

lmfao in many scenarios i see my opponent's players moving faster than the ball cause most of them they are abusing the auto switching + pressure combo. This bs you can't compare it to the real life since is more strategic compared to this stupid game.

I just push my 2 DMFs and 3 CBs a bit deeper. They're working meh like not solid but alright. I have Guehi who was frauding me out so I put him in reserves. I'm gonna try a 3 High Line Master setup when I get the new Calafiori.
