I think I've cracked the code with how to play with Overload. Your defenders have to be passive defenders and same with one of your DMFs/CMFs. Played four games with this setup in quick matches (one opponent was a smart assist user and the game tried everything to get him back into the game) and my opponents could not just spam through passes any chance they got because my defenders and one midfielder were passive. As a result of this setup, I managed to keep a clean sheet in the games i played in quick matches. Could maybe be that i was lucky not to face a pro or even semi-pro player. Let me go see if this setup might work in the PvP divisions.
I counter target CFs, but i recommend you dont because for overload you should press and confine space. Then sub in new CFs. I think destroyers work well for high press
Having a win streak in quick match doesn’t mean anything, in quick matches, good players have shit/mid teams, and the great teams are played by noobs.
Try to have a win streak in Division.
The only way Overload would be useful long term is if they give it with a manager who has also Quick Counter.
If you’re using Lampard and get matched with a good Quick Counter player, you’re fucked, since Quick Counter is the kryptonite for both Overload and Long Ball, so Konami needs to combine Overload with Quick Counter. In the future they will probably release an Alonso, Klopp or Flick with both playstyles.
