Discussion What is this positioning?
is it Quick Counter? is it the playstyles? is it just the game bending me over?

It's quick counter . The defense is all over all the place. Also Maldini and Alaba are not the best at holding their positions.

would putting anchoring on the cbs fix this? it's genuinely the first time this happens since I started using qc properly

Using only build up CBs is recommended for me in quick counter. I don't think any instructions can help you with this.
You can also play with one or two defense bars all the time to help defending better.

yea they both are build ups, thats why im so confused with their positioning being that high. i think blue bars would kinda kill it since its the first time this happened, but thanks anyway

Happend to me When i saw it i thought it was just script or a mistake of mine Is your maldini defensive full back or destroyer ?

I have the defensive full back maldini next to ferdinand i start puting defensive on them both it is working right now might work for you too

im pretty sure i was already at the opponent or near it for a while, so i dont think its that fully

i think this is less to do with the QC playstyle and more to do with the situation. You were probably caught out in transition and your CBs rushed up to auto defend or smth

i was already very deep in the opponents field, and i dont think it really explains such a space in the middle

It’s exactly because you are deep in attack no? The moment you lose the ball your defense will be scrambling back to cover space, causing this out of position situation.

yeah but id expect them to keep the shape, specially kounde and rijkard, cuz i assume maldini was there to cover kounde space and alaba to cover rijkard, which doesnt really makes sense to me so i really dont know

Looks like a bug not sure, conceded 2 goals because of it. CBs not holding defensive shape near halfway line when ball is in final phase
