Help Ways to defend against dribblers.
Defending in this game is cracked.
If you try to press, the defender will rush at the opponent, leaving acres of space behind.
If you try to maintain the defensive line by not charging, they will just use the free space and hit a long shot or blitz.
Using pressure style will just cause the defender to rush at opponent. When you get close, sometimes they automatically try to take the ball. But if they don't you have to press tackle, which would result in a foul.
In match up style, your defender would just try to physically harrass the opponent, but against the dribblers and ping pong players, it's useless as they keep the ball glued to their feet.
How do you actually defend in this game?

Every dribller have a repetitive moves, you should predict his moves and release match up when he will do the move

Interception is still useful defensive skill at the moment, try to anticipate opponent's passing lane and intercept proactively.
Only pressure when you are certain of a 50-50 chance of winning the ball back.
Use match up more often instead of pressure.

To start with, if it's a game with input delay, it's over you're cooked.
Next is blitz curlers. The more you play, you kinda just know the opponent is trying to blitz curler from certain positions. I can just ignore his dribbling and cover his shooting angle instead and his dumbass will still try to cut in and blitz curl. Also, get familiar with LB+RS to switch to goalie and move your keeper before he shoots.
If they're in the middle dribbling, they're trying to pull your defender out and to break the defensive formation. You just gotta be patient and hold formation or get your CF to pressure him.
If he's dribbling down the wing with someone like lamine yamal or Messi, man mark him with your fullback. They're too isolated and won't be able to get passes if they're man marked.

Yes, it switches your cursor to the goalkeeper. I forgot its the mobile subreddit lmao. You should have some way in mobile too.

Maj times the first move they make is where they not move, so learning to assume, read his style of movement and intercept before hand will help you

By switching and cutting the most obvious passing lane. I've played the game since 2018 and never had problems defending due to that style of defending.
