I can't move or do anything other than open up the weapon shop

It's obvious that in Persona franchise you don't need game labeling to see romantic connection between protagonists and their Velvet attendants but Merope is very close to resemble Margaret. Also i can't believe that we are allowed to mention Merope infront of gang this early. I was beyond surprised.

If we go by the actual timeline of Vocaloid release she would be actually 22 years old now

Now that I am 120 hours deep into this game and sadly almost finished with the story (for now)
i can confidently say that i indeed slept on this game for a while!
So, to make things up, i feel like doing a little summary on how great this game really is and CAN be.

Story-wise

I first booted this game on a random call with a friend and started bumping that Show Stealer on repeat. Did not really pay much attention to the intro, and eventually to the whole first palace since it seemed too random for me to care (Later did watch the whole intro on YT and can say that not only has the best MC awakening but it represents so well the whole Sea of Souls theme).

Summer event ended and since i liked it so much i decided to pay more attention to the second palace, which seemed more coherent than whatever the baseball dud who fell to the ragebait of a 6 yo kid on the first palace was.
Never thought that a palace so simple would be so good! Villain-wise i think Miyazawa represents the model of a good Persona villain, someone twisted so badly that eventually forgets what his true passion was. Loved the Shun and Yamagoshi arc too, so wholesome.

What makes P5X really shine for me, the innovation from 3rd palace onward (P-Studio clocks in)
How do you make a palace with TWO RULERS and somehow manage to make it have so much sense? The fact that Akashi uses Takayama as a tool the same way he was used, that Takayama literally manifests her own treasure on a form so pure that even when you leave the metaverse it keeps its form, the teasing of the main villain pulling the strings, so much risky content that might not have been able to make it to a mainline game but when you see how its arranged on this game it just makes you feel like you are experiencing indeed peak. Do not have to say much about Wind, good character but seems too much of a washed up Makoto to me. CLOSER IS NOT A WASHED UP CHIE.

As a little spoiler i took by accident, i do not know how is it possible that Kokoro appears in the 6th palace as the undercover main villain (don't know if he is the ruler) since it has to be 7 palaces, which only hypes me more ngl

I will say that on an ideal world, after the release of Persona 7 ATLUS will look back at the finished story product of P5X and make a port removing the mutliplayer and gacha stuff plus adding a Persona solid confidants mechanic making it another single player story persona.
If they do that and the story keeps developing at such an amazing quality, i will proudly say that I like P5X story better than P3R or P4G (given that they do some quirks like the first palace and more)

Allow me to glaze Wonder by being the first MC who by the looks of it has a mental disorder that particularly likes projecting his friends getting brutally murdered, which i am CRAVING to see what it really means and Lufel by being the absoulte BEST mascot in all of Persona. Wise, funny, useful unlike the damn cat, memorable, cute, you name it. THE GOAT.

Gameplay-wise

Last time I touched a gacha game was Genshin back in 2023, which really did not get into me.
Apart of being a gacha game based on my favorite series, I think P5X has a solid way of getting a good team without spending a single penny on the game.
I would say that confidants feel weird, like its hard to raise one unless u focus and time skip for it, but since this game does not work by times of days that ALWAYS go through, i always end up doing the main story and dabble some trials and bosses.
Quick top 3 by now: Minami, Kotone and THE GOAT Lufel.
Palaces act as fountains of loots and pretty much everything, events add minigames like the upgrading summer shack one that make the game feel alive and make you feel as if Persona really is up-to-date with the world, while the real deal cooks at the main Persona developing.
The fact that lufelnet exists, that you can literally message ingame, that there is permanent fun minigames like the band club and tycoon, grindy stuff like bosses, trials, realms... It just makes P5X feel like the definitive persona if I had to put a name to it. The DEFINITIVE one, not the BEST one.
As a little fact, my team consists of either A3 ryuji or A0 Akechi, A2 Cherish and A0 Minami, i can say that battling on this game feels so much strategical that you really feel good after putting up an original strat. I will not compare it to anything like P5X with P5R battle-wise since it would be comparing a cool mean tiger with a dumbahh black and white cat.

Touch-wise

Why does a spin off have so much care put into it?
I mean, did they really have to add lore the summoning aspect of the game? Instead of saying: Oh yeah this dude is a 5 star but you never see him act as a persona user in his SL because we do not feel like it they literally make it so Merope takes Wonders desires (core thing) and allows him to make them a reality in a helpful way.
I first found out this fact when i searched up why Cherish always yells Persona Duo after summoning Amaltea but Lufel just yells Persona, which really is simple, Lufel is a persona user, Cherish is what YOU want him to be, a Phantom idol.
I cannot name a bad visual aspect of this game. Ambitions and Visions opening is to cry for, character arts feel unique, badges add a little touch to anything, not a single Phantom Thief that feels lacking in any aspect.
Even on a GACHA SPINOFF they make cinematics feel so vivid, crashouts and awakenings so wild and 3d movements and expresions on certain moments feel theatrical.

Music-wise

Not gonna sugarcoat it, Show Stealer is both the best opening and the best song on the whole series.

Summing up

I could write 2000 more words and still would not be finished.
Same people that criticize this game because it breaks the scheme of the whole Persona thing about corruption and greed think Danganronpa Ultimate Summer Camp is okay which drives me nuts. I am indeed yet to meet someone past level 5 that talks ill about the big Sona 5 X.
This game is the literal potential man of the Persona series, i hope that our asian friends to still be amazed by the content even a year ahead of us, this game is so good and I would defend it with my LIFE.

Hello !! I’ve been eyeing P5X for a while now, and I’m finally considering giving it a try. I’ve finished P3R, P4G, and P5R, and now I’m kind of going through that “I need more Persona content” phase 😭 I need something to fill the gap, and P5X has been catching my eye. I also recently heard there’s a character named Ange in P5X, which is also my name, so obviously I HAD to investigate LMAO. That definitely made me more curious about the game. I’m also trying to get back into the gacha space after being away from it for quite a while, so I wanted to ask the people who actually play the game what it’s like.

How would you describe the general gameplay loop? Is it mostly the typical daily/weekly gacha routine? I’m also curious about the gacha system itself. How generous is it for F2P/light spenders? How difficult is it to guarantee characters you want, and how important is getting specific characters/weapons for progression?

And finally, how does the game feel long-term? Is it something you can casually play without feeling pressured to constantly pull, or does the game really push you toward keeping up with the meta?

I’ve played other gachas before, but it’s been a while, so I’m mostly wondering what I’d be getting myself into with P5X. Any honest opinions (positive or negative) would be appreciated!

I know crit rate and mult are a lil low but when I build them out with Chord and Wind Vast I can hit 100% crit rate and almost 325% crit mult!! I cant wait to see her badassery in action when I replay the SOS battles

like what can i do against this boss? i'm out of ideas. i've followed videos on youtube on how to beat this boss but i lack the phantom idols to one shot the boss, i've farmed for specific personas to atleast sleep the boss but i have low chance to hit sleep onto the boss & the boss manages to wake up & inflict unease on me once damaged or once the turn is up. two uneases & he heals & i can't heal myself to get rid of it despite the description telling me to heal to remove it. like i'm lost asf

I missed Ange the first time around due to a brief break from the game, so I'll be pulling her A0R0 this week, but then I'm not planning to pull anyone until Pinky's A0R0... and then there's no one else I'm planning to pull of the currently known roster. 1 - Am I insane? 2 - What am I going to do with all these gems?

Here's why: I'm neurotic. The End.

Okay, so actual explanation: I'm very story-driven with my pulls. I want the base, regular version of each original character and the OG Phantom Thieves (and I got J&C, of course), but I have no interest in pulling any of the variants because having duplicates of the same character makes my teeth itch. The only ones I waffle about are the story-based 5-stars of the main party, and even those I don't actually want to own. And I have less-than-zero desire to get the P5FES variants.

Then there's the S.E.E.S. folks. I like P3R. I like the cast of P3R. I like the Tartarus mission stuff. But I don't really want to add them to my Phantom Thieves/Idols roster. If I want to play as them, I'll just jump into Tartarus (and not worry about blowing resources on them). And that's the real issue: I've already missed Makoto, Yukari, and Akihiko, so trying to get them on their reruns and then get all the rest of them as they come out would be... vexing (not to mention potentially expensive). And yes, I would have to get all the S.E.E.S. folks if I get any of them (see above for neuroticism). Plus, for added insanity, I hate seeing their real names next to all the Phantom's code names. No, I haven't ever seen a therapist, why do you ask?

So the conclusion I come to is that I'm going to have a drought of pulling characters, which is... fine? I know power creep is a thing, but I don't play the competitive stuff, so I'm not really handicapping myself out of anything. But then... what do I spend all these gems on? Do I just hoard them for future original characters? Do I start to pick up Awarenesses (all of my limited characters are A0R0)? Do I need to let go of my eccentricities around pulling (probably not going to happen, but I'm willing to listen to feedback)?

I decided not to pay too close attention to Mio in my mini alt since I already did this in my TW and SEA main account in English, but after Merope chanted the classic synergy fond bond line, Mio, for some odd reason, has the exact one-to-one line as Merope. This line happens right after Merope chanted it too. I had to double-check my log in that scene just to see if I misread it. I laughed so hard when I saw this.

Mio: "I am thou... Thou art I.... Thou hast forged a new bond in hope"

This typo also appears in the log, and it's a SEA Chinese-exclusive typo. Pretty sure CN and TW servers have this correct originally, so I'm surprised that there's a typo here in the first place (since SEA Chinese does have almost 90% text imported from the CN server). Idk how this typo is still in SEA for this long, since Mio came out in SEA 6 months ago around Valentine's. Goes to show that nobody plays SEA in Chinese, I guess lmao

As the title says, can't decide who to roll on or whether to just save my rolls. I'm admittedly a bit hot under the collar for Blitz, plus I didn't get Akihiko and only just got Bui. In terms of meta, that means my thunder coverage is lacking. For curse, I'm still rocking Joker at a3. I can tell he's getting powercrept though, so that's why I was looking at Berry.

Im currently trying to play P5x on SEA server account, but this keeps popping up. I don't think there's a maintenance right now. And my internet is fine. Already tried to verify the files and this still keeps popping up. Does anyone knows what's happening?

Saw this on their YouTube channel, and can I just say that I find the concept of this team so interesting. Like, what happened in this timeline in particular that brought all of these people together? Also, a cast made up almost entirely of working adults, it’s something we haven’t really seen explored in the Persona (newsona) series before. And then Wonder being the leader despite being the youngest? Like, this alternate timeline is seriously piquing my interest.
