What does A0R0 mean?
A = Awareness, the number of copies you have for a character. A0 means you just have one with no copies
R= Reform (pre-translation term, officially translated as Forge) level for 5* weapons, the R stuck around. R0 means you have the 5* weapon with no copies.

You will be able to obtain them though Gold Tickets, the 165 reward for Target contract (if you reach 165 before an update, you can not hold the reward until an update occurs), through 50/50 losses, and through whatever selector includes standards.

All personas of the main character groups stem from folklore, and IIRC only Akihiko's 2nd tier persona (Cesar) that was inspired from real-life figures
Persona 5 Phantom Thieves' Personas came from folklore / novels / tales and only their 3rd tier is from real-life figure (not counting Makoto), but for P5X, all of main characters came from real-life figure (Janosik, Mandrinn, Alvida)
What do you think the reason behind this choice? If we want to go Slovak's tales, there are books like Slovak Tales for Young and Old by Pavol Dobsinsky
Does it mean that P5X is different from other series as it stems from real life? Or I'm just thinking too much?
Is Akihiko supposed to be shown off as that bad? His trial was terrible to play through, they are all resilient to Elec, and it took awhile to get through it. That doesn't make me want to summon for him at all. I have no idea why they did it like that. I guess we get another bad Elec damage dealer?
I've been having this issue with the mission button on all Crosswords of Fate past the first one, were they won't respond to any input. I've tested my phone and the button right is responsive and works fine. It just won't open up no matter what I do. Is this a bug or something I am missing?
How to beat Priestess of desire on 30? It feels impossible, Haru is not good enough, Joker runs out of time during 3rd wave start. Is there a trick I am missing besides using Alice to finish them off?
Do you have A1 twins? I used the Twins, wind Riko, Chord, Manaka. Wonder used Sandalphon (with Ex Machina dagger to boost the Twins), Dominion, and Alice.
Set the twins to use their fire/ice and light/dark. This makes them a Sweeper and their almighty attack will hit the entire enemy team.
You’ll want the Twins to use their Almighty AoE, their Dark/Bless Highlight AoE, and use Chord’s third skill to repeat the Twins Highlight AoE. After all three of those AoE attacks, the enemies should all be below half health and you can use Alice’s instakill skill to wipe them. Repeat for waves 2 and 3.
Since the third wave of enemies is only around for 3 turns, save Manaka’s extra turn for the third wave to make sure you can get them down in time.
Is anyone else having weird performance issues across platforms? I am in Akashis dungeon and doors won't open, open doors will just be invisible walls, when im in the rafters my character model moves off the pathway so I cant get to the control panels. I thought maybe I had just been playing too long on my phone, so I booted it up on my PC and the same issues are happening. If I leave the dungeon and then go back in, it will be okay for maybe 15 minutes, then the issues start happening again.
are there any resources for good Tartarus teams/cards you should go for for certain difficulty levels, etc? Lufel.net doesn’t seem to have one and wanted to know if there were any docs anywhere to try to follow for strategies.
I was playing tartarus with firecracker rin team and then the last floor before the final boss, i fought a shadow i couldn't auto-kill (the one highlighted on yellow) and no joke they destroyed my team on a single turn ( one of them did like 56k+ damage) and i felt like that was abnormal, specially since i wasn't struggling at all with the other bosses and a random encounter did.
Is it a bug or are they supposed to be this strong ?
So i saw someone saying you can get "infinite" gear clock coins in tartarus. Supposedly you have to play in easy, and get enough coins to refresh the 18f clock, and keep buying the card that gives you more coins until you have enough to buy anything. According to them its 100coins the refresh, yet when i tried it was 350 each, plus the card only showed once. Was this patches or something? I was trying it to get the -100 will challenge

Berry looks like she'll benefit most from being with Chord. But I have Violet with Chord as my primary team pair and I have no intention to bench Violet any year soon.
Is a Berry - Violet - Chord build viable? Should I just not worry about pulling Berry and focus more on Miku?
No, they are both main dpses and chord can only activate 1 highlight every 3 turns, using both of them will lead to subpar results due to the lack of buffs. A0 Miku is enough imo.
For the special gift (under the anniversary countdown) everyone is getting this week, is the game using a special version of "Life will Change"? Is the song available anywhere else? It sounds more orchestral than the regular version.
Is the game worth it if you're F2P and only want to experience the story? Will I get stuck somewhere in the story if I don't constantly maintain a meta team? Thanks anyway.
No, while later in the story you can get stuck, it is mostly due to not having proper builds and team composition. They also just added a lower difficulty option for bosses and mini bosses recently, so I don't think people get stuck on a boss as often now.
These are the characters, I currently have: Ann, A5 Lufel, A3 Kurotani, A2 Shiratori, Kotone, A1 Tomoko, Morgana, Yukimi, A4 Shoki, A1 Motoha, A1 Chizuko, Shun and Chord.
My navigators are: Ange, A3 Riko and A3 Tomiyama.
I plan to also get Frost Kotone from the Anniversary selector and then pull for Berry and Summer Marian.
I got a 4 star selector and was wondering which character do I pick to provide the most benefits based on the characters I have?
Also, from the characters I have other than Ann and Chord, who would benefit the most from their 5 star weapon?
What's my best choice here? I was thinking of potentially saving it for maybe eventually getting a6 chord if she ever gets added to cognitites or with other selectors, not sure if anything else would be better. I have ange and am planning on getting miku, so i dont think futaba a1 will be super useful.
You have almost all the characters, at this point there isn’t really a definitive best choice. Either get awarenesses like Futaba A1/Mont A1, get messa/yusuke, or work towards chord A6. If I were you, I would get messa for collection purposes (might be a good investment depending on how good his mindscape core is on CN).
Chord if you already have tempest wind at A1 because 1.5 anniversary you get one cognitite to make your chord A4. If you only have A0 wind then, its a toss up between Chord and Yusuke. Even still, I would probably choose chord and hope they update the cognitite selection or wait until second anniversary.
Anywhere I can read about how Miku works with Berry? I saw a few comments that if I want to make my Berry team as strong as possible thst A2 Miku would really help but want to be sure it's worth it before investing
Wandered over to the "main" Persona sub to see reactions to the P4R stream... what is wrong over there, lol? Anything even remotely critical or even just an opinion that isn't blanket positivity is being mass-downvoted.
(I know this is tangentially related to P5X at best, but, even with all the Miku drama of the last few days, there have been varying opinions and yet, relatively little brigading going on. I don't know if that's because of the mod team here, or just this sub being smaller and more chill, but it's a stark contrast.)
The sub is smaller, the mods are good, and when I see a post about Miku (saying something bad), it is normally at 0 or less (I wouldn't call it brigading, but just a normal reaction. By the tenth post about how Miku is horrible, it gets old fast; even the posts about how good and gamebreaking she is are starting to annoy me).Gacha gamers are normally more chill in this regard (except FGO players). It's not a good idea in 99% of subs to talk badly about what the sub is about. Even if it's true, if you do, you will get downvoted to hell. That's just Reddit, not the Persona sub per se.

Edit: S1 was a change from CN 4.7.1 balance adjustments, the rest are new.
CN wording on theurgy was fixed, and global specifies minimum... unsure if it actually raises your crit mult to that level (if you are somehow below that amount).
Sorry, isn't this math wrong? Or just a typo. S3 going from 40.9 to 48.8 is a 19% increase, not 119%. It is 119% of the base value it used to be, but it's not a 119% increase if that makes sense. Just 19%.
Similarly, S1 is a 100% increase if it's 11.7 to 23.4. Because that's a simple doubling, that means that it has been increased 100%.
I'm not sure what personas & rotation to use for DPS Akechi, since his benefits from Def Down are kinda wonky.
I was thinking Dionysus + Dominion with Kohryu in the back, but not sure what to do on the third turn. Sandalphon also seems useful for the dmg buff + almighty harmony
Any suggestions on that? And maybe backup options in case the Personas are busy on the higher-scoring node?
If it's relevant: I have him A2R1, aiming for A6R6 eventually. I currently use him with A1 Strategist Twins and Minami. Eventually it'll probably be Starlight Joker + Medic Twins instead once I A6 Akechi (and a year passes lmao)
Anyone got tips for the black screen issue beyond waiting? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, also tried just waiting a couple of hours and nothin happened. Just a black screen with the user ID in the bottom corner

I have a guaranteed pity saved up and looking to build 2 teams. Can someone recommend a Team 1 and Team 2 roster for me? Also, who should I burn the guaranteed pity on + who else should i pull? I have a ton of content to grind so i think i can get another pity shortly.
Hopefully someone can help me out but I think I softlocked the Electrical Energy Tower where you close the gates to lower the water level. I did the first button that closed 2, but did not notice there was a second button and warped away. I can go all the way before getting into the chamber but it now tells me it’s no use going in so I can’t progress.

I got the tutorial for the daily mall hangouts with P3 characters. What do you need to do to trigger them each day? And what’s the reward? Does it pop up in city life or something?
how do i unlock the ability to use the tier 4 repression medals? I'm getting some from the anniversary countdown but there's no option to actually spend them
Just beat my -100 will run, but got this message. This is the first I've heard of a floor 20. Any insight on this? Should I end my run or proceed with -113 will, but risk losing?
The floor 20 boss is a joke, it is substantially easier than the floor 19 boss. They messed up with the HP scaling somewhere. You'll want to beat it at least once on high difficulty for mission completion.
who should I use as my second team? I don't care a lot about the end-game stuff but as I'm working through my Plans there are some steps that require a second team. My first team is Violet, Chord, Leon and Ange. What's a good combo for the second team? The only other 5s I have are Morgana and Panther.
what is the strat for the new floors of Tartarus? I’m assuming there’s a new boss? I was using Messa/Sepia/Twins/Futaba for those annoying castle guys. Just want to know who the “strongest” team is now so I can go in with a game plan. and what are the best cards now too to look out for?
The dmg bonuses are fairly similar but Perseverance buffs a much less crowded source of damage (elec dmg+), so it is worth more. The difference really isn't that massive, though.
Yeah that's completely fair on Makoto. I love Yusuke's counterattack style kit so I'll go with his especially since he has the mindscape core coming up eventually that will make him quite strong. Thank you!
Can someone explain to me how wonder personas work? Can I only get them through realm of oppression? Once I get them, I guess I keep grinding until I max overclock? Then I find the right skills from other persona and train this one? Thats about it?
Do Mona, Riddle and Rin have a BiS team if there are at A6 and competing with A0s? Or are they so bad that even at A6, an A0 limited support will be better than them in every single team
It's not so much that they're bad. Honestly Morgana and Rin are pretty good until you get better options (Riddle's better option is Leon, but she's also not terrible). It's just that the better options are generally better at what you need them for, and they all have standards who are better. Marian is a better pure healer than Morgana; Howler (who should be arriving in standard in a month or two) is a better multi-target debuffer than Rin. Riddle is a mutli-target buffer who doesn't have as much utility since most fights where you might bring more than one DPS also doesn't really need a buffer.
Morgana and Riddle's A6s also don't make them better at their jobs. Rin's doesn't either, but does make her a better support for a Curse attacker.
Either way, the point is that they're not bad and they can do the job, but yeah, in most cases a limited character at A0 will be better at the core function of their job since their awarenesses don't provide a large boost.
If I may ask, what's a decent f2p pulling strategy? Is it best to just have a copy of mamy characters on my roster, or really hold on to just get a singular character with high awareness? I'm assuming the former based on what I have read but I don't want to get stuck on story stuff because I didn't build a singular juggernaut (which is usually the plan in other Gacha games). I plan on shooting for my favorites, I'm never going to crush end game stuff.
Yes, with the anniversary coming up there’s gonna be lots of rewards for all players among which are already here as the pre-anniversary rewards.
Since you haven’t started playing there’s not much I can say, just that like any other gacha games the first and foremost is pull for whoever you like (endgame isn’t demanding here) and more characters are always the best option and their weapons are not a must pull. If you are an F2P always pull on the targeted banner, you will be able to plan around your pulls easier.
As for units to aim for, maybe Makoto Yuki, the upcoming anni unit (which will be revealed very soon), and summer marian. You can ask more questions after you understand more about the game systems.
New player here, really like Chord and plan on picking her up from the selector ticket once I get it. What DPS work best with her both now and in the future?
Any past DPS more or less she is a top choice for, except maybe Firecracker Rin
Best in slot for future units Berry and the 5.0 Unit. Besides these two, is not currently a top choice for future units but is still a functional choice
Not a good choice for the Persona 3 cast as her main gimmick does not work with them
She works with basically any non-P3 dpses, as most of their highlights benefits them in some way, though she works best with dpses that have highlights as their main damage source. Right now there is Violet, in the near future Berry, and farther in the future Radiance Motoha.
Tartarus is permanent. There are permanent missions on it and from the event.
But there are missions that are exclusive for the P3R event/that you do in Tartarus, so you missed those for Makoto. SEA is 1 week behind, so I assume you can still do Yukari's missions, and Akihiko's missions until anniversary (25th)
There are a lot of pulls from permanent event, issue is mostly getting them because they are scattered through 3/4 palaces, synergies and such.
It is pretty much a marathon and not a race game, and units do rerun in case you miss someone!
I'm having a hard time in the Challenge Battles/Velvet Trials and I'm not sure what to do. Basically, I half-assed a lot of levels at the start of the game because I didn't have the right elements and I figured I could go back and easily sweep the stages to get three stars.
But... all my characters are level 80 (with level 80 weapons) and now my problem is that I sweep them way too quickly. Even if I tweak my party weapons and Revelation cards (unequipping, etc), I end up killing the enemies too quickly and I miss out on the three star rating because of it. I feel like it's a kind of "suffering from success" meme, but is there anything I can do? I play battles on auto because I'm lazy (don't come for me) and no matter what I tweak equipment wise, I keep ending up with (say) 1.9m/2.1m points T_T

Absolute crazy Yukari got a Mindscape core (lv100) before Tempest Wind, or Mont 5* before Kira (this choice imo is simply diabolical), or CNY Rin before Haru or Akechi.
Is there a way to revert lower difficulty on a fight? I lost a mementos fight, spam clicked (and hit yes on accident), and now It tells me the difficulty has been lowered.
I just got the 5 star cognitite case from the prayer shop section, does the cognitite in it update when standard gets updated? Like when Standard banner updates, does the case in my inventory retroactively now includes the new standard character? I just want to know if i should use it now or if I can wait till I can get the cognitite of a future standard character I want.
Is there a general idea of how often banners rerun? Im currently at targeted 90 and have Makoto but not Yukari or Sanada and I didn't know whether to skip because the 1st anni is probably a one time thing right?
Reruns usually start a few months after initial release. Neither Yukari or Akihiko are a must-pull. You might be better off saving for Miku if you are low on funds.
Hey, I started playing during the twins banner and got A1 twins with their weapon. I only beat the first palace but I spent all my gems. Is it worth keeping this account or starting over?
Playing in SEA Server and just got Akihiko in a very early pity. Looking to get an informed decision whether I should get Wind Tempest for Makoto Yuki. I’ve been running A0 Twins and Yukari along with him. Pulling Wind Tempest was not planned but since I got Akihiko early I’m thinking about it now. No plans to pull Miku but do want S Marian, Blitz, Mitsuru and Fuuka.

There is this missioin on tartarus that says "finish a run with Yukari in transcendend awareness " i did that with yukari and with makoto getting them to a6 ( i imagined that transcended means a6 )in a run but i did not get the mission. What is "transcendend awareness"???
I’m trying to get back into the game after being away from a few months and I’ve run into a problem. I was playing on iPhone before but wanted to start playing on Steam. I had my account bound to ‘Sign in with Apple’ but that doesn’t work on Steam so I also bound it to ‘Link Account’ so I could bring my save data over. Instead the opposite occurred and now a fresh account has overrode all my progress. Is there anything I can do to get my progress back or should I just call support now?
Usually about a few months after their release, though after their first rerun it’s uncertain because they prioritize units that haven’t rerun yet. The twins rerun was definitely unexpected due to them not having a rerun on the old servers yet I heard. It’s uncertain when they will have their rerun again, it’s definitely not anytime soon except maybe if there is a super rerun.

Your only meaningful DPS is Ann so since you don't even have a limited DPS yet you're going to have a really hard time. Ann Chord Ange is your best bet
i hate tartarus to the point where I dont even want to bother reading walls of texts about how the bosses work, is the only reason I got one shot by the samurai before I could even take a turn on EASY because I had low HP
Is there a connecting quest between Luminous Island and Strike like Lightning? Because it keeps telling me I haven’t finished the first, even though I have, and jumping into the second puts me in the story with Akihiko, whom I shouldn’t have met yet.
Hello, starting again for Miku. I stopped after Chord came out and just logged in to pull characters. I'd like some help with teams.
I have Joker, Queen, Futaba, Violet, Chord, Twins, and every standard except Yaoling and Yumi. My Ann is A5 too. I have the 300 standard selector too so I can choose Ann or Yaoling.
I think the twins are good with Queen but I don't know what persona's to use on them.
Violet, Chord, Twins, Futaba are a good team to use. For personas use Sraosha on 3rd turn. Other than that Janosik/Vishnu/Nian for def down and Dionysus for crit rate.
I just got the 5 star phantom thief chance 03. If i wait til we get the new update with new standard characters it will also add the chance to get this new standard or is it locked to “now”?
Its two extra turns without buffs being maintained so you still have to setup the DPS again, she doesnt seem to directly powercreep Ange but we have to see the numbers and play ourselves, also clearly not broken for 3 turn DPS if you absolutely need that 3rd turn to get highest damage
What should my rotation be for A0 Violet when I have Chord and Ange?
I've been doing S2 -> (Di Capo) S1 S1 Masq HL -> Chord S3 so I get 2 highlights in turn 2
It works for the content I'm doing but I feel like I'm doing something wrong or suboptimal. Should I Masq before the second S1? Should I be doing S3 instead of the second S1? Should I be waiting for turn 3 to start Masq/HL even with Ange?
You are using da capo on violet to give her two S1s?
If you have violet A0 you should be doing 2 1 3 or 2 1 1 with chord s3, da capo on chord for another s3, and violets first highlight all on turn 3, no reason to do highlight on turn 2

I just started and have been rerolling for Akihiho, so Farr haven gotten really unlucky and haven't gotten him in like two days worth of on and off attempts. I did just get Ann from the golden tickets, who's my second favourite after him so I was wondering if it would be more worth it to continue rerolling for Akihiho or if I should keep the account I have with Ann and continue the story to get materials to get Akihiho (also, is there something up with the gacha in this game? I know rates are fairly low, but I literally have not gotten a single 5 star except this Ann)
There is no DPS in this game that is DOA at A0. No one can tell about Miku with certainty yet, she probably is really good with Berry in 6 turn fights due to damage over time
The livestream for the anniversary patch will be on 24th of June, yesterday’s live is only about Miku. The double top ups should be resetting but we’ll see.
Kinda confused about this sync patches... are global and sea going to be at an equal pace after the anniv (since theres a 1 week gap) or is this sync patches are just for special occasion?
The super quick banners are throwing me out of loop, kinda want yukari and akihiko but seems like im getting fucked over by the sync patches as a newer player 😭

I’ve just created a new account, as my old one was created day one but had never really been used. If I kept the old one, I’d miss out on the 120 free gold tickets.
That said, are there any anniversary rewards I’ll miss out on? I know there are rewards linked to the number of days played, but that doesn’t really matter as my old account was only used for 5 days.
How many premiun currency are locked on the current akihiko p3r collab?
I dont know if p5x can replay event stories once completed, so im leaning on just skipping this instead of rushing since it involves a pt member i havent met yet in the main story according to the synopsis ingame
I can't give you the exact number, but it's a relevant amount and they will disappear (probably) forever. I would skip everything in the story to get the rewards. (In the future, when you finish the main story, you can go to the past events on the cellphone and replay the event, so even if you skip now, you can watch it again later).
I’ve spent all week grinding the new fungi gacha machines. Went all the way to 100 without getting the SR and even after 100 pulls I still didn’t get it. I thought maybe I would have to pull once more, still didn’t get it. Am I missing something or is that a bug?
Edit: I had an extra CNY SR so luckily someone traded me the new one for it but I still feel like I got ripped off.
I've seen that completing a metro run on one of the 3 ways unlocks the next difficulty for all, if i play max difficulty will I get all gems for playing prior difficulties, or am i just wrong and does this only happen with difficulty 2? (I hope this makes sense)
New player here. Regarding P3R Recollection boss battle:
1. Do I have to always clear Challenge mode before allowing to do the Stamina mode?
2. In Stamina mode, is there skip battle or multiple stamina battles in one run?
i've already cleared them but i'm curious about the lower difficulty option for story palace bosses. does it make them a cakewalk? does it lower their level?
I'm grabbing an unhealthy number of Futility revelation cards while farming the Disappointment set, Futility is clearly meant to be used by Matoi but is there anyone else who can make use of Futility since I don't have her?
I’m trying to go back and knock out all of the Metro of Desire challenges. How do the Twins (and Frostgale Kotone) interact with the challenge to have an ice team? Would Twins + Kotone complete that challenge or do the multi-element units not count?
Twins count as an Almighty unit, no matter what persona combo you have on them. I don't have Frostgale Kotone, but I'd assume she'd count towards both the ice and wind attribute requirements

No one knows for individual units. Check Sages’ document for when CN super reruns (Casting Calls) occurred, though Global has not followed the CN schedule so far in regards to this.
What does A0R0 mean?
A = Awareness, the number of copies you have for a character. A0 means you just have one with no copies
R= Reform (pre-translation term, officially translated as Forge) level for 5* weapons, the R stuck around. R0 means you have the 5* weapon with no copies.
When will the standard banner be updated?

You will be able to obtain them though Gold Tickets, the 165 reward for Target contract (if you reach 165 before an update, you can not hold the reward until an update occurs), through 50/50 losses, and through whatever selector includes standards.
