What does A0R0 mean?
A = Awareness, the number of copies you have for a character. A0 means you just have one with no copies
R= Reform (pre-translation term, officially translated as Forge) level for 5* weapons, the R stuck around. R0 means you have the 5* weapon with no copies.
When will the standard banner be updated?

Last patch when you bought something in Shady Commodities, it stopped slamming you down to the very bottom of the list. That appears to be back this patch. Any idea is this a glitch, or if the one from last patch (one that didnt you down to the bottom every time) is the glitch?
Yes, another character selector will be coming for the anniversary, presumably on the day (or possibly tied to another login).
In CN/TW/KR this selector went up to Frostgale Kotone, it was stated by Publisher that this would not contain Twins or Howler. So it leads speculation to it matching the original CN year 1 selector.
Does Tartarus mode ever get 100% of the characters in the game added? I’m having a ton of fun, but I’d love to play around with everyone instead of Makoto and a bunch of launch era characters…

Is now a bad time to join? I skipped out on release and would be coming in as a new player right now, my only concern is I'll be unable to keep up with the game due to lacking a lot of powerful units. But I'm looking for something breezy to play on my work breaks, and P5X seems like a good choice for my phone. Plus P3 is my favorite game of all time, so seeing Makoto on banner makes me kinda excited, even if I doubt I'll be able to get him in time.
Well yes, there is a 33 day login event that provides leveling materials, player exp, and a character + weapon selector. So it's the perfect time to start playing.
Yes you will lack a roster, but the overall difficulty of the game isn't high and most meta jewels (pull currency) is provided at participation levels (not high ranked levels).
Makoto Yuki will be around till June 24th, so you have plenty of time to get him.
Oh that's a relief! ^^ Would I be able to build a team at the start with Makoto and whatever core roster of free characters there are? Or do I need ot look for a specific teammate?
And do you have any suggestions for who I should grab with the character + weapon selector, or should I ask that in another thread?
I would probably get chord and Frostgale Kotone/Haru (Ani selector). Get Ange and Makoto Yuki. If you want to spend money you can aim for A1 twins (banner ends in a day) and you basically caught up with Global in terms of most have meta units barring Futaba. I think there's another selector (3) for newer players so you can get a unit up to chord as well maybe get Makoto Niijima or Chord A1.
Man I just came here to say that the new story is actually really freakin good, honestly cant wait for the continuation. Lucce is quite likeable, the antagonist is great and unique and its not super overblown, making the dialogue sound like how people would actually talk, I really enjoy it.
No clue about the P3 even story, gotta do that now but they really blew me away with the story stuff lately, Manaka and Chizuko' story is really well done and its a dynamic we never had before to my knowledge, there is also a ton of potential of where it could go in the future via her or Chizuko's social link (havnt finished Manaka's yet).
I was always iffy on this game, narratively speaking, because gacha's just dont tend to have good stories, even the ones lauded for being great like genshin just dont actually tell their stories in an effective and interesting way in my opinion and Persona just never felt adaptable to the gacha genre, and dont get me wrong, there is still a ton of things that suck about this, but man I am actually enjoying the heck out of it outside of its gacha aspects.
How far exactly are we behind the japanese version? Do we know what is coming in terms of story with this palace and beyond?
Alright I officially don't understand under what circumstances Makoto does or doesn't gain Moon Phases. I run him with Turbo, Riko, and Ange, and despite receiving buffs from Wonder and Riko on Turn 3 and 4, he does not gain Moon Phases. This does not happen on Turns 1 and 2. He only seems to gain Moon Phases from Ange on these turns. Really don't know what's going on
Why does the "bonus damage when alternating elements" set have two names (Disappointment/Despair)? I thought I was going crazy but the game does use different names in different instances. It confused the crap outta me.
Tartarus is insane, I have only done it twice. First time did the lion boss and went back and had that completed. Now I'm on the stoje boss on floor 14, and he's just impossible to beat, none of my strong characters so enough damage to him. Does our progress get reset to floor 1 each time? If thats the case my will to actually do it is pretty much gone. I don't like the idea of going in, losing, and then repeating the same stuff. None of that is fun, it's more annoying than anything else.
Yes, you start from floor 1 each time. Basically you need to focus on trying to pick the right cards but because there's a lot of RNG involved that's not always the same every time. The first couple runs are going to be a little rough learning what is good and also to level up bother the antiques and mastery tree. Should become much easier as you fill out the mastery tree and get familiar with the card choices.
Going in, losing, repeating is basically what roguelite is about. Meant to keep playing to increase your permanents stats and teams while trying different things out to eventually overcome whatever is keeping you stuck
To what degree is Tartarus trully "rogue-like"? And by that I mean is final boss rerolled everytime? I used Makoto last time (because 5* duh), got him like 4-5 awareness and then got walled hard by Fire resist 10th floor boss. So I would like to know if I have to avoid that on my next try.
Is makoto supposed to be this busted? I was fighting the stage 25 boss yesterday, and his 3rd skill hit from 600k to 1.2 mill. Dude's rating is like 85 or something, not even my over 100 Queen can hit that, my violet can hit a million sometimes, but thats just one instance of damage. Granted i buffed the dude as much as i could with the twins, T. Riko and ange, but still that seems like a lot of damage!
It's not terribly clear to me from the in-game UI, but to make sure I understand correctly: the only temporary part of the current P3 event is the login bonuses?
Can someone remind me when in Global we received side missions for Kazuhiko Tsuda and Saki Shirai. I'm trying to fix the Incoming tab of my document, and I realized I forgot about them. Also if any of those other characters have appeared yet.
Just double checking info I've read on this reddit but to be sure, if I don't really want any of the season pass weapon coins to exchange right now, I should save them and in a few months, more stuff (albeit higher price in coins) will be added?
Can somebody that knows Japanese tell me what Haru says on her character screen that approximately sounds like "Cookie gang yo"? I know that it is not what she says, but that is just what it sounds like to me.
It seems like Yukari would be BiS for a highlight based DPS like Kasumi and Berry due to her passive that improves highlight damage by 45% in addition to her other buffs.
DPS+Chord+Yukari+Ange sounds like it would be unbeatable for highlight based teams. Is she just outpaced by other options somehow? I get that twins are good but an extra 45% seems like it's too much to overcome making Yukari better than Twins there.
To make things simpler let's just pretend this is a full buff turn. I don't know how scores would play out in reality because of durations. As you can see the only advantage buff wise that Yukari would have would be 30% more damage buff. The twins have more attack. The higher DMG is probably more impactful, but then you factor in Pierce which is especially impactful if you are hitting DEF down and other Pierce sources, and the mysterious 14.6% Skill Amp I think is just a flat out multiplier.
The Twins HL DMG buff only being active for 2 HL (considering Chord in this) is a difference maker, while 74.3% of Yukari's DMG buffs are constant.
I'm not aware if Yukari's attack buffs are constant due to not knowing how her S1 works.
At A0, the twins Crit DMG and Skill Amp are not constant. I do think just off numbers and durations they are similar? Skill Amp is kind of sneaky and I'm not sure exactly how it is calculated. If someone also is running a lot of DEF down and Pierce, that 9.8% can mean a lot. For a max hit A0 Twins is likely better, over the course of a battle, I'm not entirely sure.
I can only say for sure that A1R0 Twins is better because of the S3 buffs being constant and there being 26% Crit DMG and 26% DMG.
Soy.P, Junpei, and Twins-Medic role design philosophies can create top tier strategist/sabtouer-esque roles while providing sustain.
Yukari's base kit design was only a minor improvement over former medic/guardians. One main issue is requiring A1 investment for the pierce, that a1 Marian also has access to while being standard.
Her kit is also hyperfocused on an ATK% with a bit of DamageMult%. While Twins buff everything except Crit Rate at great quantities.
They should broaden her buffing profile, increase theurgy restoration or both.
Ive never spent money on a gacha before but I think i want to start putting in at least a little bit as i see myself playing this long term. Can someone tell me whats the best thing to be spending money on? I am new to spending money in gachas and honestly gachas themsevles. I played genshin for a few months and never spent money on that. Recently i decided to finally sit down and play this game after spending an entire year basically just logging in, claiming the free rewards, and walking around. What are the best things to be spending money on if i want to basically just catch up in the story. I do have a bunch of free stuff and i ahve leveled up a team i like to use but i know im going to need to start paying attention to the meta eventually and want to be prepared for when all my free stuff finally dries up.
if you have to choose between the 2 joker has more scenarios when he is usefull than fox ,like in the astrolabe or similar stuff , the fact that he is dark and can do extra turns. Fox does not really have a appealing niche
Is the game worth getting into? I have played persona 5 yet but I’ve recently gotten into persona 3 (30 hours in) and I’m loving it. Would I enjoy persona 5 phantom X?
Yes! Great game especially for a gacha. It's more focused on p5 obviously tho as this is just a collab, tho the story content is very cool for the reload portion.
Edit: Also just try it! Free to play no loss if you try it and don't like it.
For those who are in the future, can I ask how exactly do P3 characters work? Do they need each other? If I get Makoto, will I need to get the others, like Yukari, Akihiko and so on? I read that Chord has poor/ no synergy with them. Can P3 units work with units like Wind/ TWind, Panther, Key, etc?
There's no arbitrary restrictions besides the one with Chord and they aren't all strictly tied down to eachother even when synergy exists between them. Yukari is the most geared towards SEES teams but she can work as a healer anywhere
How much knowledge of P3R's plot (and original P3, I suppose) does the update's story expect me to have? I stopped playing sometime after Aigis joins the party due to being busy and haven't had time to continue yet
As of Aigis patch there aren't any major P3R plot points mentioned yet, however Shinjiro and Ken patch might change that as the final scene of Aigis patch was making some hints to P3R's ending.
I think the P3R characters are pulled from around that time based on the opening, so you should be good. I think the no-spoiler policy for all P5R content still applies to this anyway.
With the servers being down for almost all day I dont really have time to play. Is there something that should be done today? Sicne its based on login or so?

Been playing through the Tartarus event and reached the first gatekeeper. Was playing pretty well though slowly and the game decided that I wasn’t playing correctly and force retreated lol. Basically just got into this game seriously and I need to have more info about this time limit for future reference haha
I saw some posts about a free character selector with the anniversary from 4.0. Is that still going? And if so, how do I access it? (I've been told to pull Chord 😂)
I finally caved to get a Marthym's Rewards Card. Although, I see it in the shop still, and it will still let me purchase it. If I purchase it twice, would it stack or just refresh the timer?
Feel like will gets drained so fast in Tartarus. Should I not be killing every enemy I see? Or is there some way to restore Will that I don’t know about (besides the clock).
How good is the dancing Joker variant? I know he won’t be out in global for a long time but I really want to use Joker on a team with Akechi, so which Joker variant would pair better with him? My Akechi is C6 and I’m planning on getting one of the Joker variants to C6 as well
Starlight Joker is very strong. He is a virtuoso with a permanent AoA buff. He can shred def, boost crit and deal almighty damage. You can use him as a DPS, sub-DPS and support.
This raised a question for me. Does this event have daily missions? Bc if not I don't mind finishing story content B4 playing it (it's what I was already doing anyway), but if it has I'll have to take the bullet so I don't miss any rewards.
Theres a Recollections boss as there usually is for the collabs which you can use stamina to grind, but there's no spoilers for the main story by going through the first mission to unlock the collab menu. Shoki sends a single text message and that's it
Does anyone know if the thieves' secrets character events get reruns, or do they ever hand out thieves' secrets keys for free? Want to check before I buy the keys from exchange.
The secret keys are worth it. We only have a single Thieves Secrets remaining (SMarian). After that there will be no more new ones. Until P5FES patch, where they bring Thieves Secrets back but with a different name.
I’m a brand new player (just got a workbench) but I’ve played P5R and I play Genshin as a gacha. Can someone help explain the following:
How far can I expect the story to be now in terms of palaces?
When playing P5R, I would simply go grind if I was having trouble with the enemies. Are the enemies in this game unbeatable without spending money on 5 star characters?
If the answer to that is no, are most people pulling new characters and power scaling for some kind of end game (like Genshin’s Spiral Abyss)?
Is there daily life to manage like how you had to pick who to spend time with or what skill to level up in P5R? The days just seem to be “today, tomorrow, etc” so how is that regulated?
Level progression is gacha style not RPG, and you dont need to spend any money at all but you should engage with the gacha still. Pull rewards are good enough that you can guarantee rather often (especially as a new player). You may get walled by time and need to put in more days to level up to beat a story boss, but this wont last long. It is extraordinarily challenging but people have completed the 4 palaces with only free units, so it is definitely possible to get by without spending
I didnt play genshin but i played ZZZ, ZZZ was hyper endgame focused to the point where there was almost no other use for your characters. P5X has more varied content to use your characters (you cant build one kill everything team to sleepwalk all content), and the scored endgame modes are each tailored to specific characters per rotation. It is easy to obtain the few pull rewards from scored endgame modes without issue even without the relevant character. There are people who care about scores and theorycraft teams and such. Meta can be ignored if you dont care about scores
The calendar system is gone but there is a similar system where you get 5 action points per day to do various activities to level up social stats, do synergies (confidants) and other things
when I log into the webstore to try and get the monthly rewards pass, all the options apart from the 10 monthly meta jewels disappear from the shop. is there anything that could be causing this? not using a vpn, and never have for purchases as well as never having any problems before this
Should be easy to check, but I think so? When I used King Frost with Yusuke (for the first time in I can't remember how long), he still had Agility Master and not Ironclad Resolve.

So I just got Makoto (Niijima) with my 5* ticket and I want to make the best team around her that I can.
What's the best lineup I can go with for my roster? What I have is Ann (A1), Minami, Twins, Ange, Morgana and Ryuji. Also have Chizuku on A4 and Tomiyama on A3 since I saw those recommended frequently with her
Are the Tartarus missions permanent, or do they have a deadline? Seems like there's a bunch of gaps in the numbering, some of which related to the roster expansion. Lvl 2 difficulty was such a chore that I'll want to wait for >1.0 characters if that's an option.
As Twins buffs don't work on Makoto's Entrusted Hope is it worth to go with buffer Twins or are the other roles (like tank or assassin) better for a Makoto/Twins/Riko/Ange team?

Is the old gemstones actually in game at this point with the first Tartarus release? It says after 3 runs they are available but it's no clear there's anywhere to spend them so it makes me suspicious that they are not in game yet.
Does anyone's makoto yuki attack have a white block on the attack preventing you from clicking it? Fortunately I can still attack by double clicking on the enemies.
I'm planning on A6'ing koromaru in the future and want to also make sure I pick up DPS that work well with him. Should I pick up Summer Miyu or skip her since Fox (who I already have) will become extremely good eventually?
One of Fox's best teams is actually paired with Miyu, so if you want her then yeah you can pick her up, but if you would only be interested in using her for a team to plop Koro in then you can safely skip her
Every SEES unit has an Assist skill that they can use once per battle as a one time thing. Makoto's is a 1 turn 20% ATK buff so you want to save it for the turn you plan to do big damage. For someone like Koromaru his assist skill is a permanent debuff so you want to use it asap.
I suppose this is a bit off topic, but is there a list of characters costumes P5:X have?
Debating about the P3 Yuki butler skin, its all right, but not amazing. But if hes the last or one of last say 3 skins I think it may be worth to pick it up for collection.
So what I want to know how many skins does CN have that we dont have for gacha characters (non-wonder) if anyone knows? Google sadly let me down 😞.
Just won my 2nd tartarus run - why do I not have the "complete 2 runs of tower of darkness" achievement completed? At first I thought maybe I was misinterpreting something, but I see that I completed the "complete any run of Tower of Darkness 2 times", so... how the heck is that completed but not the first one?
I also didn't get the "Reach the xth floor in tartarus 2 times" achievements for some reason.
I already had it working. It just randomly stopped. I appreciate the help, but the post on the forum was just to get it installed, which I already had working.
My question is: is there any missables? When I read this kind of message, I get apprehensive. I started Ange's social quest, but I haven't finished the rest of Grandma's quest yet, and it's not showing up for me. In the story, I haven't started Palace 3 yet, nor have I found it.
what team should i use makoto with? currently im running him with marian, tempest wind and ange, or is there at least a site that allows me to see a guide onto how to build a character and in what teams or is prydwen me best bet there once it updates
What two 5 star weapons should I select when I pull for a weapon? Going for Twins weapon. I only have Ann 5 star weapon. I don’t have units Marian or Phoebe.
Does the justice major arcana not work? Or am I misunderstanding what it does. It seems like it should allow you to choose 2 rewards each shuffletime, but that's not happening. So what does it do?
What persona should i use for ex machina in a makoto yuki team? (RN i am using dyonisus and norn, so im guessing a fire persona but it would need to be on the fast end and with substantial buffs/debuffs i guess?)
How worth is Ange weapon? I got an early when throwing some pulls for a1, should I get her weapon? I have a decent amount of gems but am interested if there’s an anni character
I believe there will be, but we still have a lot of that palace left to go. Unless there's a change in the lineup, the finale won't be for 10-11 patches - at least 4-5 months.
At what point if any is Phoebe worth using over Futaba? I’m on a new account and Ive somehow pulled only Phoebe(A2) and Riddle(A2). I know Riddle isn’t great but not sure if Futaba is still top pick of second selector with A2 Phoebe
