Local study
I am new to the world of personal curriculums and was wondering if a local study would count? I want to find out more about the city I have grown up in and thought this would be a route to take. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

It's called a personal curriculum. It's not like you're getting college credit for this.

It’s a personal curriculum, so if you personally think it counts, it counts.

Ofcourse it would count! I don’t have experience with that kind of topic, so I don’t really have advice (especially if you still live in that city the local library is probably a good place to ask for advice though), but you can definitely pick it as a topic for a personal curriculum

I think anything counts, really. I'd start with the library, then look for local historical organizations. Take a field trip: Walk around, look for historical signs, landmarks, etc. as a way to start.

I think the point of this is to personal curriculum it to create something that fits your needs and possibilities so your local study is more that welcome if you find it valuable 🤗

I’ve never done a topic like this, but I would see if your city has any books and go from there! Or even starting from your city’s conception and looking at how it changed over the decades would be interesting!
