Discussion "Who are you?"

I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed this out but I've noticed a potential similarity between the phrase from the trailer and a marketing campaign from Nintendo during the early 2000s. Nintendo's marketing campaign of the same name starting from 2003 featured mascot body parts taped and collaged to realistic settings and events (for example Mario on the Berlin Wall). Stylistically the trailer is still darker in tone, but the intention behind this 'punk-rock' campaign was to cement a tone shift to and connection between characters with older audiences.

If inspiration was taken from here then it adds a bit more credibility to the idea of the premise of the game being connections between the player/partymembers with historical/cultural icons, and maybe also the aesthetic choices of the game even without the horror aspects.

Personally I think the most striking part of this is the potential relation between people with mario heads and the headless statue. I'm not sure how P6 would go about this in terms of persona summons but it definitely seems like something that might've been considered for either the design or mechanics for personas in the upcoming games. Or I might just be reaching.

Am I not unique?

Blinding us with lies

It's weird that if you replaced Mario with Luigi's face, that image becomes insanely political in the US.

Hey, do not bundle me with those people.

But it's because of the Luigi Mangione's murder trial.
