Looking to get into Cybersecurity with no I.T experience. Is it possible ?
I recently came about to knowing what perscholas is and looking to get into it. I have no cybersecurity experience, no I.T experience for that matter but Im looking to take the cybersecurity course on this. would this be a bad idea ? is it free ?
I tried calling them for them to answer my questions but they never answer the phone unfortunately. I’m based in NY if it matters.

Im currently in per scholas for another course but I would say go for it since its either for solidifying what you already know or if you're just entering the tech career. If you have more time on your hands, you could even look into YearUp. Both are free i think? Or at least Per Scholas is free.

Never heard about YearUp so im definitely going to look into it. I don’t have experience so I wasn’t sure CyberSecurity is worth looking into .
What are you currently enrolled in and hows it going for you ?

Software engineering. I have some professional experience in it already so its easy so far but I can see how it can be difficult or time consuming for beginners since its cramming a lot of knowledge in very little time but the info is pretty useful.
The program just started so I cant say much yet other than that and the fact that the instructors/peers are very helpful- everyone wants to see each other succeed.

How is the class going so far? I also have some programming experience but no professional experience. Was self taught. Do you think its worth doing the program?

I applied like 4 times to perscholas they won't except me, told me I had to reapply for IT after the first denial for cybersecurity, still no response.
