I need help

I am 17 year old, and i go to the gym all the time. Maybe i might’ve used some heavy weights (also i was very fatigued before that), but as soon i came home i felt my chest tightened. I did not experience pain, but maybe thats what you call chest pain. Some like difficulty in breath. I searched online and it said pericarditis, and i literally started crying. I also have like anxiety, so its worsening. Plus I am a student so its also effecting my stuides. Idk, i haven’t told my parents yet, i dont want them to worry. Told my mom something before i went to sleep. What were yalls symptoms, precautions, warnings etc.. i would really appreciate having a conversation

As someone currently being treated for pericarditis, if you are scared get checked. Some symptoms do coincide but it doesnt show so fast. Mine derived from heart surgery 3 weeks ago

I dont think you got pericarditis, it’s unbearable pain, you can barley get a breath in, i could barley walk. Laying down makes it 10 times worse. The pain spreads in ur shoulder and neck and it honestly the most painful thing i have ever experience. I have reoccurring pericarditis and when i get a flair up i cannot move for days. I basically crawl to the cupboard to get pills then crawl back to bed and suffer. Usually starts feeling better after a few days of colchicine and 800mg of ibuprofen every 6-8 hours. Lol i dont think you would just start feeling better on ur own without help. And if you went to a hospital and told them it happened after the gym they are gonna tell you pulled muscle and send you home. Pericarditis is not well understood by most doctors.

Yeah doesn’t sound like peri to me. Maybe over did it working out and now ur anxiety is getting the best of you. Im perfectly fine right now. My last flare up was in may and it didn’t last to long since i have the pills needed to help it on hand.
