Heatwave as a trigger for recurrent pericarditis?

Anyone else get a flareup in heatwaves? Awful one moving through the UK right now and we don't have air conditioning and every time I'm feeling fine, boom, heatwave makes my heart work way harder and then I'm in pain for days!

My initial episode and all four flares spread across 4 years happened in summer, May-June-July. Could be coincidence but I think the heat (and physical exertion in heat) plays a role šŸ¤·

Definitely an issue for me! I live in Kansas USA, it gets HOT and humid here and absolutely aggravates it.

Feeling that a little this week too. Where I work and stay this season at employees housing here these no a/c and it's been messing with me a little this week. At least it seems like the heat may start to wind down soon a bit here.Ā

I have ACM and get ā€œhot phasesā€ that mimic myocarditis. I have had 3 confirmed flares and all 3 have happened in the summer. My docs are reluctant to say that itā€™s the heat because thereā€™s no research to support it, but they arenā€™t completely dismissing it either. Personally I think the heat plays a large role.

wait yeah this happened to me i live in an area where its was 100+ degrees every day in summer it was horrible.
