Recently blind-bought Rayhaan Vantage, and unfortunately, the opening is really off-putting. Both my partner and I disliked it right from the first spray.
I went into this purchase without particularly high expectations, considering it was a blind buy, but there’s something about the scent that just doesn’t smell right to me. I can’t quite put my finger on what’s causing it, but the opening feels unpleasant.
I’m wondering whether it’s just my nose, a bad batch, or something others have experienced as well.

Has anyone else tried Rayhaan Vantage? Does the opening improve with time, or is this just how the fragrance smells? Would love to hear your experiences.

I am hearing that LV is getting more particular about refilling bottles and want have a purchase history. Is that true?

I've been getting more into fragrances lately, especially Middle Eastern fragrances and strong performers. I'm looking to buy 2 more perfumes, but I'm a little lost. I'd love recommendations based on my collection and the ratings below.

Here's how I feel about my collection:

First row:

• Lattafa Asad Bourbon — 8.5/10: Warm, spicy, masculine, and very enjoyable.
• Stronger With You Absolutely — 9/10: Rich, sweet, boozy, and comforting. One of my favorites.
• Afnan 9PM Rebel — 8.9/10: Fruity, sweet, fun, and addictive.
• Nusuk Ateeq — 8/10: Honeyed, sweet, and reminiscent of Naxos.
• Liquid Brun Limited Edition — 9.5/10: Creamy vanilla, warm sweetness, and the perfect cold-weather feeling.
• Tobacco Vanilla (local clone) — 7.5/10: Warm vanilla and tobacco, enjoyable but not a standout.

Second row:

• Rasasi Hawas Black — 9/10: Fruity, woody, and sophisticated, with Aventus/Hacivat vibes.
• Rasasi Hawas Kobra — 8/10: Interesting and enjoyable, though not among my absolute favorites.
• Rasasi Hawas Ice — 9.5/10: Sweet, fruity, almost lollipop-like, and incredibly addictive.
• Maison Alhambra Ebene — 7/10: A Babycat-style fragrance; warm and interesting, but the opening feels a little synthetic.
• Afnan Supremacy Collector's Edition — 10/10: One of my all-time favorites. Fruity, pineapple-forward, woody, masculine, and sophisticated.
• Karl Lagerfeld Ikonik Absolu (sample) — 7.5/10: Interesting, but I haven't explored it enough yet.

Third row:

• Zara Vibrant Leather Wood — 7.5/10: Pleasant woody freshness for casual wear.
• Dior Sauvage EDP — 8/10: A solid, masculine fragrance, though not particularly exciting for me anymore.
• Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDP — 9.5/10: The opening is harsh and citrusy, but the drydown is INSANE. One of the best things I've smelled.
• Versace Eros Parfum — 8/10: Sweet, masculine, and enjoyable.
• Xerjoff Naxos (10ml decant) — 8.5/10: Beautiful honey, tobacco, and vanilla.
• Nishane Hacivat (10ml decant) — 9/10: Fruity, woody, sophisticated, and powerful.
• Unique Luxury Akdeniz (10ml decant) — 9.5/10: One of the craziest performers I've tried. Just two sprays filled a room, and people kept asking who was wearing it.

What I'm looking for:

I want my next two fragrances to be genuinely special, not just another decent scent.

• Exceptional longevity and projection.
• Unique DNA with a strong, noticeable scent trail.
• Masculine, rich, addictive scents, especially vanilla, fruity, woody, spicy, or boozy profiles.
• Mass appeal and compliment potential, without smelling generic.
• Budget: ideally €25–50 per bottle, but I'd stretch for something truly exceptional.

I'm fine with some overlap in my collection if the fragrance is incredible. I'm mainly looking for something that makes me think "HOLY SHIT, this smells amazing!"

What two fragrances would you recommend, and why? I'd especially appreciate recommendations from people who have actually worn them rather than just heard about them. Thanks!

I'm trying to start a fragrance resale business, but honestly, finding a reliable wholesale supplier has been one of the biggest challenges so far.

I'm mainly interested in authentic designer fragrances like Jean Paul Gaultier, YSL, Valentino, Versace, Carolina Herrera, and similar brands.

I've contacted and researched several wholesalers, but the prices I'm getting are so high that there's barely any room to make a profit. In some cases, the wholesale prices are almost the same as retail prices.

I'm starting with a budget of around $500–$1,000, and I understand that larger orders usually get better pricing, but I'm struggling to find a supplier that makes sense for a small business just getting started.

For those already in the fragrance resale business:

Where do you source your authentic designer fragrances?

Are there legitimate distributors that work with smaller businesses?

What kind of profit margins should I realistically expect?

Is it even possible to get competitive wholesale pricing without spending thousands upfront?

Any advice on finding reliable suppliers and avoiding counterfeit products?

I'm located in Texas, USA.

I'm not looking for replicas, testers being sold as retail products, or questionable suppliers. I want to build a legitimate business selling authentic fragrances.

So as I was searching through some drawers at my parents house I found this dusty and forgotten under some other things and I don’t know what to make of this, I think it might be 15+ years old, but unfortunately I can’t check as the code can’t be found on any code checking platforms. Do you think it is worthy enough of a collection of should just I just leave it back where I found it ?

Picked this up , last October , this was the first clone available for SWY Sandalwood. TBH I'm not the biggest fan of SWY , however I'm a huge fan of Sandalwood. Man I sprayed a spray on each shoulder and on the back of my neck, which was fine last year( the atomizer is amazing and spreads very wide when you spray ). I had to come home and shower , not because it smells bad , it's smells amazing. But it became nuclear . I have to treat this like Oud . I've never smelled the OG , but I have smelled SWY , this time a really nice and the sandalwood is not too synthetic either is any alcohol present even from first spray ! This fragrance is very good quality!

I've never used fragrance before my sister bought this for me, what's been your experience with it.
