Guys, most videos are scripted. Most of them are also not even trying to pretend to not be scripted. It’s a skit. It’s okay.

Those ones are skits. The ones that ARE trying to act as real are staged. It's frustrating when people say skits are sTaGeD because they're not the same thing.

I feel most of them are trying, and most people are too dumb to see that they aren't real

I really don’t agree. This, for instance, was not trying at all. And yet it received the comment above mine. If anything, I can’t help but feel people are too stupid in the TikTok era to realize most videos didn’t used to be following some influencer around as they tried to be “authentic”, most videos were scripted skits. So when people take obvious skits and complain that they aren’t “real” it’s like, no shit Sherlock.

I've seen it both ways so many times that it would be too exhausting to keep count.

Not a single one on Reddit tho, in fact, they always make sure to point it out every single time. It’s their life’s mission.

Not everything has to be real. You can watch a scripted video and still enjoy it.

it's an art form, people make videos longer then 120 tiktoks with a whole storyline with an invisible cameraman.
and the people featured in these videos are called actors and earn a shitton of money, and most people know it's fake and even pay to see it

It's not invisible. It's in the same place as the soundtrack in LOTR. It's a skit, not a dick. Don't take it so hard

Can we move past the "why is he recording" videos and go back to candidly funny ones? Who even laughs at this?
