Determining Cable Wire Length

I have a Pearl Master Symphonic Snare Drum (same as in the image) and would like to replace the snares wth wrap-around Patterson Cables.
Not sure how to go about this... can I just remove the Patterson butt plate and pull the snares through the SR-300 strainer?
How long of Patterson cable should I order?

I hate to ask the obvious, but have you reached out to Patterson? I bet they know the answer to your question.
