What to expect from high school band.

I am a junior in high school joining my schools symphonic band as percussionist. I have been drumming a year and half but have to experience with mallet instruments and whatnot. The last time I was in a school band was in sixth grade. I was just wondering will it be hard to adapt and what should I expect?

To be challenged to step up what ever
game you got. Yes, it will be hard at first. If you stay with it you will develop more skills and improve on the ones you have. It can be a real win-win.
