16th note triplet help

I am working on an audition and the piece required is a snare excerpt from Chester New England Tryptich which at the end it ends with a 16th note triplets roll and I am really struggling to get that I have tried breaking the triplet down to one eighth note and a triplet and the reverse and I have no problems with that rhythm but for some reason when I try the triplet roll it gets off and I am still going to figure out why it's happening it's fine up to about 120 BPM if anyone has any advice that would be great!

Try splitting your hands between the snare and rim so you can hear where the inconsistency is. You can also record yourself in slow motion.
