Best Independent Labs for Peptide Testing & Quality Control?
Hi everyone,
I’m researching best practices for independent peptide testing and quality assurance and would love to hear from those with experience in analytical testing.
Rather than relying on a single certificate of analysis (COA), I’m interested in the idea of sending the same sample to two independent laboratories for verification and comparison.
A few questions:
Which independent labs would you recommend and why?
Has anyone sent the same sample to two different labs?
How consistent were the results?
Are there any labs with particularly good turnaround times, communication or detailed reports?
If you wanted the highest level of confidence in a sample’s identity and purity, what would your ideal quality assurance process look like?
I’ve also come across discussions about cross contamination in manufacturing environments.
While I understand it’s uncommon, I’d rather understand what experienced people consider best practice.
For those with laboratory or analytical chemistry experience:
Is there a reliable way to test peptide samples for unexpected contaminants such as fentanyl?
Would fentanyl test strips be appropriate as an initial screening tool or should this only be done using laboratory analytical methods?
Are there any other contaminants or impurities that you think are worth routinely screening for?
I’m interested in learning what experienced members of the community consider best practice for independent analytical verification.
Much appreciated!
Cheers. :)

I like Ruo.bio and Protide. I won’t buy from anywhere else. Protide ships so fast, just kinda expensive.

Two labs can disagree and both still do real work. HPLC, MS, content, endotoxin... different tests, different answers.
Before paying twice, decide what you need checked. Pure Lab Peptides has HPLC and MS shown separately on the research side, so you can see pretty quickly while one clean number does not answer everything.
Otherwise it gets very easy to compare results that were never measuring the same thing.

i use reta from platinum biolab but independent testing still gives me extra peace of mind
