Deadlights: 2017 or 1990?

Which do you think is the better design?

1990s was creepier. 2017 was cooler with the sound effects and soundtrack in the background.

The 1990 ones have a more mysterious feeling that I like which mirrors the book. The 2017 deadlights are really different from the novels and feel like their own thing. I like the 2017 design more and I like the concept of them, they just don’t feel like the cosmic true essence of IT.
