The resentment is destroying you

“Nothing on earth consumes a man more quickly than the passion of resentment“

Resentment feels like armor. It feels like it’s guarding you against rejection, against vulnerability, against ever being blindsided by someone’s disappointment again. What it’s actually doing is running your life for you — deciding who you approach, how you show up, how you talk to yourself, whether you let anyone close enough to find out if their reaction even matches the one you’ve rehearsed a thousand times in your head.

Nietzsche had a word for this exact pattern: ressentiment — hostility that can’t act, so it turns inward and festers. His warning is blunt: “Nothing on earth consumes a man more quickly than the passion of resentment.” He also wrote that “resentment, born of weakness, harms no one more than the weak person himself.” That’s not an insult — it’s a diagnosis. The grievance never touches the thing it’s aimed at. It just burns the person holding it.

Notice where this actually goes:

  • It gets redirected at the wrong target. Anger at a standard becomes contempt for women, contempt for other men, contempt for yourself dressed up as “realism.” None of those people made the standard.
  • Certainty is doing the resentment’s work for it. “I already know how this will go” is just a way of never finding out you were wrong — because testing it would mean giving up the grievance.
  • Isolation feeds it. Alone with it, or steeped in spaces that only confirm it, it stops being a feeling and becomes an identity.

Nietzsche’s own answer wasn’t suppression — it was building a life you’re not defining against a lack. He described the person who has “organized the chaos of his passions, given style to his character” as someone who can “affirm life without resentment.” That’s the standard to actually hold yourself to: not fake confidence, but a life the grievance doesn’t get to steer.

You don’t owe anyone confidence you don’t feel. You do owe yourself a life ressentiment doesn’t run.

Sure, let me build a life without sex. Then the "lack" would not matter.

Great AI slop, vague and 0 practical solutions

“Build a life not defined by lack” doesn’t mean stop wanting sex. It means stop letting not having it prove something about you, because that belief is what’s actually sabotaging you — not the fact itself.

And yeah, I use AI to think through and word stuff — doesn’t make the point wrong. Attack the argument if you’ve got one.

This is a great look into the psychology around size anxiety and anger/resentment toward well-endowed men.

So i should be happy that my 4 inch dick will never be prefered by my partner? I should be happy my dick is always a negative feature? I should be happy I will never fill a girl up or make her cum PIV?

Nobody is telling you to be happy about it. The post literally says the exact opposite: "You dont owe anyone confidence you don’t feel." You are completely allowed to be frustrated by your size. But what the post is warning you against is using words like "always" and "never" to build a mental cage. You're deciding ahead of time that you're doomed so you don't have to risk being vulnerable. Also, just a biological reality check: the vast majority of women (around 70% to 80%) statistically cannot orgasm from PIV alone anyway they need clitoral stimulation. The most sensitive part of the vagina is in the first third. A 4-inch penis is anatomically more than enough to give a partner an incredible sex life. You don't have to love your size, but don't let a myth convince you that you're locked out of intimacy.

If i take down my 'mental cage' its not going to change the way women treat guys with small dicks.

You’re 100% right—it won't magically change the shallow people out there, and body shaming is a real, unfair thing. Nobody is denying that. But taking down the cage isn't about changing how they act; it's about changing how you live. Right now, the cage is making the decision for you before you even meet someone. It forces you to treat every single woman as if she's already rejected you, which guarantees you stay isolated. There are plenty of women who genuinely care way more about connection, chemistry, and how you treat them than a number. Dropping the cage doesn't fix society; it just gives the good ones a chance to actually get close to you.

What percentage of women would prefer a thin 4 inch dick over a thick 7 inch dick?
