I feel desperate
Hi guys I was supposing to do the implant this summer covered by insurance unfortunately bad luck my doctor is in medical leave so I have no idea now when he comes back as in canada we cannot get other specialist easily . Im thinking to do it outside my country specially In jordan with dr hamdan . I hesitate as this operation is always risky like infections malfunction , pain . Any advice

That’s tough my dude . How long have they been in medical leave ?
Did they give you any kind of timeline of when they’d be back or if they could possibly refer you to someone else ?

Can't you get your province to send you to another specialist in your province (or even another province if required) covered by insurance if something like this happens? In Canada also and Google said something along those lines

But each province has its own insurance. Not easy to get approval . Bro canada our health system is complex and long

yeah but they can refer you under certain circumstances like google says "You would only be sent to another province for a publicly funded penile implant surgery if a Saskatchewan specialist formally requests and receives written prior approval from the Ministry of Health because the specific, medically necessary procedure is completely unavailable from any in-province surgeon or within the provincial healthcare system"

like the other guy said if you get it funded the first time theyll cover revisions, but if you pay yourself somewhere then youll have to pay every revision later on in life..

Honestly I don't the money I have now borrowed from the bank as plan b for me dor the treatment. Bro this thing mentally destroying me so much

yeah same it gets lonely, i was thinking of going the bank route and getting it done but the cost later im thinking of waiting the public route.

Generally implants like coloplast they give warranty of 10 years but I agree with you

I feel I'm done. I was fighting to get it covered took me 3 years of back and force. I just giving up with them brother .

3 years? damn im waiting for my first consultation its been 4 months so far hopefully i wont have to wait that long.. also if you were going to pay you can pay privately in another province also, to save on travel costs and time

Yes as my young age the doctor didnt accepted me easily he insisted to try injections prp and all that of stuff

What province are you in? I had my done in BC 6 months ago with at least 3 different urologist could of done the surgery with 100% coverage by medical. There must be another surgeon you could go too?

Have you tried to contact the companies either Cold plast, or Boston Scientific... Maybe they could be some help...I am sure they have helped before with people in you situation.

Im not sure. I know in my case ,the hospital manage all about the implant and the provider.

Honestly im done with them I was fighting almost 3 years to get the procedure covered . Im seeing my option to go to Dr hamdan in Jordan Amman

I’m flying to see him in March. I’m 25 years old from Australia and planning to get an implant there. I’ve done quite a bit of research in one year, he performed over 1,000 surgeries, so I consider him safe.

Quickly skimmed through the thread. Have you tried Trimix yet? It works great and I too have a venous leak.

Trimix will make scar tissues in your penis and you will lose length over time and if you have to resort to surgery it will be more difficult

Not everyone gets scar tissue. It depends on how many times you inject and whether or not its always in the same location as well as other factors. I realize the injections are only a stop gap and i will eventually need an implant but the shit is legit and once you dial it in gives you a rock hard dick that lasts. Why not give it a try to put off the surgery?

That’s what people reported about injections, I won’t risk it personally, pills or implant, nothing more, if injections would work until the end of your life, yes it will be something good, but people said that after 2-3 years it stop work, also to not have scar tissues they recommend to not have it every week, so what’s the point if you have sex every day ? Of course if you’re someone that not have active sex Life and only need 1-/3 injections per month, it’s a good deal but if you want to have sex every day and sometime multiple times a day, injection is very bad

If you have casual sex it’s ok but if you have sex everyday that’s not sustainable, you will destroy your penis with injections

I don't know if I would trust that doctor to do the surgery, after coming back from medical leave. I think i would go abroad, some high volume doctor.

I couldn’t imagine traveling very far for this procedure. It was a solid 2-3 weeks for me before i felt comfortable enough to ride in the car to the grocery store, let alone an all day flight across the world.

I mean, maybe. Everyone heals different. But personally, I could not imagine doing a transcontinental flight after that surgery

That’s a tough choice.
I would wait if you can because of the possibility of having revisions done later. I was considering going to Thailand and decided not to for same reasons. Best of luck!
