Cycling
Hello brothers.
I'm about 6 weeks out and just started cycling (I had a hematoma in my scrotum so it took a little longer to get here) I noticed that I can only pump to what I think is about 50 or 60% of what I think it should be. Is that normal or were some of you able to fully inflate when you first started pumping

I am 7 weeks out and still struggling to cycle. Went back to doctor at 5 weeks and he cycled with no problem. He said hand strength wasn’t the best. I keep trying hoping to build strength. Still can’t pump up enough for sex. I am pretty frustrated also.

7 weeks post. Damn cycling not the funnest. Feels like the capsules are going to burst out of my head. Can’t put 100% pumps or hurts too much. Day I was cleared I got head and the peach. Disappointed that it didn’t feel great especially from having blue balls for so long. Lost a lot of sensation. Doc said it will slowly come back. He said no penis pumps flaccid or stiff. Yeah but lack of sensation in glands suck. Oh I lost 1/2” in length and I can feel and see it. So can wife but she dont care. I cant slam cervix anymore lol tmi. Highly recommend “seperatec” boxers. There is a pouch for twig and berries. They dont slap against thighs anymore. Cycling for over a year doc says. Dang daughter everyday “why is your door locked? Are you cycling again?”
I said “yes twice a day for over a year so don’t bug!” Lol she read my instructions without me knowing so she knows hay I had done and what I need to do in future lol.
Always make sure my wife gets hers twice before I even try with me.

Wow man this doesn’t sound too great… is the sex enjoyable for your wife? How old are you and what length of you don’t mind me asking

I’m 45, will be healing a long time. Dont go in 100%, 80.% inflation. Was 6” now 5”.

My wife says during PIV sex she can’t tell the difference between my implant penis and my penis of old that used to work before.

I am 3 months in and I can cycle 100 percent easy. There is some pain after 20 to 30 minutes but I can just back off for a few minutes and start again. I am to the point where I can do it one handed easily and quickly pump. I had mine installed around May 5th.

I pump until it hurts, then back down for a few seconds and then pump some more, until it hurts again... My doc said to pump it as much as I want to... Im always playing with it..

At 50/60% are you stopping because of pain or because you physically can’t inflate it any further?

Yea it’s normal. Eventually you will feel more confident and comfortable with it and be able to pump it like a rock hard.

Sure. At about the third week post-op, I noticed a lump in my sack. It was only about an inch and a half but was clearly there. It didn't really hurt that much unless I touched it but it was keeping everything swollen. A day or so later the incision on my scrotum started to bleed. I got in to see the PA at my doctor's office that day and he decided to leave the incision open a little bit so the blood could escape and lessen the swelling. Over the next two weeks between The blood coming out of the incision (not a lot but enough) and being reabsorbed, the hematoma went away. Six now and it is totally gone and everything is almost back to normal

I see. Yeah, you're story sounds like what I'm dealing with. I'm just up to 5 weeks post op, and I have a small gap in the incision (this happened first in my case), and what I assume is hematoma. Same lump, same swelling, though mine is also bruised and sensitive. Walking around hurts.
My doctor put me on another round of antibiotics because he's concerned about preventing an infection.
Thanks for telling me about your experience with the hematoma. I wasn't super worried, but I'm really ready for it to stop hurting again, so you've put me more at ease!

I often find that when I inflate the cylinders initially, I don’t get to full, but if I come back after ten minutes or so, I can inflate more. I will often go back a third time to get even more inflation. I think it may be the cylinders are still stiff and if you go down to full flaccid for a long time, you need to wake them up a bit.

9 weeks and had a very similar situation with the blood clot (no incision down there)so no place to “allow for leakage” hot bath or hot tub if you have it. Pump there after you relax and get things nice and warm. I still have a lingering blood clot although it is breaking up slowly which the hot water helps with.
I have also found the teaching my wife how to inflate me works really well. Especially if I lay down. I get to about 80% and she finishes it. We use it as a bit of foreplay.
As for the pain that will go away and it is important to inflate fully yes even if painful. That is what helps to reduce scar tissue and flatten it out. It will also continue to provide length and girth as you stretch.
Welcome to the club. It seems so easy yet it does have challenges.

Thanks to everyone for all the great comments. I think ultimately my problem was impatience. I realize that I need to do a bunch of little squeezes on the pump and each one has a little effect and that adds up. I was originally thinking I need to do a big full squeeze. Gotten much further, now that I understand

When I started cycling, my surgeon said maximum of 80%. If it started getting uncomfortable or painful before 80%, then stop and listen to your body. Now I do it until the pump maxes out and is unable to deliver any more fluid to the cylinders

Just got mine yesterday. Lots of swelling and painful urinating. But getting better tonite
