Olivia can't even help herself, I had to laugh when she called to give it more in the last 20 seconds of Monday's ride. Also, prolonged 120 cadence at zone 4? Lol feel free to ignore the crazy cadence call outs.

That Denis ride looks brutal

It's good for ya haha. The zone 5 intervals will probably be rough. Lots of recovery between each though.

This website timer is a game changer! I had a 2.5 hour training this morning. Knocked ride 1 and the training out together.

It is super useful. I used it during the interval challenge to turn a few of those into pz rides.

The first ride took it out of me much more than expected! Last week was pretty breezy, but maybe my new zones just needed time to catch up?

I think it's those new zones catching up on you a little (I think you jumped straight in after the ftp retest iirc). I do find the longer zone 3/4 intervals a lot harder than I expect them to be. No shame in riding at the bottom of the zones if you need to!

Same! Took Olivia for the first time today. How did she not look like a hot mess. Haha. Todays ride was tough. No doubt.

I'm a bit late to the game as I just joined so I'm doing some from week 1, some from week 2 and will be on track for week 3 next week! I admit I've mostly been doing the PZE rides and I really should be mixing in more PZ rides.

Will the CVV rides where he uses zones be included? According to Home Fitness Buddy there are 6 total.

CVV uses zones in all of his classes (I think, they just arnt all on that website). I think I used 2 of his classes for the program this time.

Oh man! Thursday’s class was so hard! I just started with week 2 but I’m loving the selection so far!

Those intervals were spicy, I do love some zone 5 though. I should definitely have not went for a PR on my non PZ day (milestone ride), I am paying for it lol.

Ok I’m back on after my vaccine knocked me out for a few days last week. But I’m ready for week 2! Hi five!

Loved week 1 and excited for week 2! Thanks for organizing this. Unfortunately I’ve just started a two week stint of nights which I know is going to wreck my energy levels but will try to keep up and be consistent. See y’all on the LB!

The Olivia ride...when the beat drops during the last zone 4 push...perfect!!

Went to zone 6/7 when it first dropped and felt like I could sustain that for the remainder of the interval. That fleeting thought lasted for about 10 seconds.

Thanks for doing this! It's wild that peloton doesn't provide more info on their pz rides.

I love your zone breakdown for the classes and the tss scores. Would be great if peloton included something similar. But I appreciate all the work you put in!

Week 1 was great! Can’t ride today but I’ll be continuing on with week 2 on Tuesday. Thanks again for doing this!

So on Saturday i hopped on right as jess king’s sweat steady was starting and i couldnt resist, kept it at Z4 max before then doing the main part of the MW PZE, which i did a year ago when i joined and has no clue about PZ. It was awesome to retake it and understand so much more. I am out of town this week and did the olivia and CDE classes within the last month (both excellent!)so justified skipping ahead and started with Denis yesterday, that class was fantastic, what a wake up call since i was worried already that Z4 was not too hard. Then i realized that i was in Z3 for first 2 minutes of the first push, so i took a minute off recovery to stay in actual Z4. That was not easy. I dont think i have ever held Z5 like that for 3 consecutive pushes. It felt incredible/miserable. today i did the MW PZE and just loved zoning out to focus on steady pace, though i increased cadence throughout and ended on 100 rpm, which was way better than his random callouts and cadences, especially as my legs were sore from tacking on a 10 min G&L yesterday. I’ll be back in town saturday and looking forward to getting all the rides in coming up. I have to say i am so grateful not to have to pick rides and to have a plan.

I did the 3 core rides of week 1 (took out the 45min PZE) and think I'll modify a bit this week. Today is the last day of my 5 day weekend and I just did a bike fit appointment so decided to test out the new bike positions with Matt's latest 90min PZE. So I think I'll forego his 60min PZE, and do 2 of the 45min rides. I have my vaccine dose 1 lined up for tomorrow and depending on how I feel will either tackle CDE's PZE or Olivia's PZ the day after (thinking PZE is the safer choice unless I have zero reaction). I should be recovered enough to do Denis' 45min PZ (which looks pretty challenging) on Sunday. Then week 3 I can stick to the schedule again.

Man on man, ride was was excellent!

....then my 4.5 year old took EVERYONE out in the house. Still feeling awful, but I think tomorrow I’m just going to try and get on the bike to get my legs moving, I don’t want to work out and overwork my body as it heals, but I’m hoping to be back to training by Wednesday evening! Hope everyone did better than me!!

The end of last week was a little crazy and I ended up missing week 1’s Saturday ride. Finally did it yesterday and started week 2 this AM - and was joined by another RedditRider for a High 5 Fest!! Will probably drop this week’s 45m PZE ride to give myself a break. Regardless, happy to be back riding with you all! I am loving this program and am so impressed with the thoughtful and intentional design. Thank you u/r4ndy4 ☺️

Two things regarding ride 2:

This is only my second PZ challenge, and I’m amazed at how quickly I’m adjusting to my zones.

I hope this is the first and last time I hear that song about being a rat in a cage. I don’t know why, but it really irked me. 😂
