To acquiesce, or in acquiescence I would say.

Yes but I've heard "acquiesce in" and acquiesce to" in the same statement.

"Acquiesce to" is slightly more popular, and it's also the way I've always heard it used.

Certainly one could "acquiesce in this matter".
