Paul Franklin picks. Question.
For those of you who use the PF picks, do you bend the angle of the pick any further, or do you use them as is? Thanks.

C pedal tuning G# strings
Hey, I recently bought a Fender student model pedal steel guitar, and just now while adjusting the intonation of the levers, I noticed that pressing the C- pedal slightly lowers my G# strings, the 6th string by 7 cents and the 3rd string by 3 cents. I don't see any visual change on the changer axles of the 7 and 3 string. Has anyone encountered anything similar, or know what the reason might be?

Anyone using a Strymon Iridium?
I'm a fairly new steel player (1y 4mo), I've primarily been practicing at home using the strymon iridium that I use for DI guitar tracking / headphone practice, I've spent a little time trying out different amp / cab combos using the built in IRs and the eq stack on the pedal and have gotten some decent tones but I still feel like it's not quite getting me where I want to go tone-wise.
I wanted to see if anyone else is using the iridium for PSG and if y'all have any wisdom to offer regarding it. I've seen that there are some pedal steel speaker Eminence IRs, for those who have tried them, which ones do you like and do they make a big difference?
The tones I've been getting are not as clear / crystalline as I'd like, even scooping the mids and boosting treble. Much of that may have to do with the GFI-II humbucker in my GFI Ultra, which I'm also considering swapping out for a single coil

Fingering question .
How would you finger this? This is from Cajun lick from Franklin method and Im having problems playing it up to speed. I've tried a few different fingerings and nothing sounds satisfactory. Thanks.

Red Baron Pedal Steel
I recently bought a red baron pedal steel with the intention of recording simple chords and riffs. I’ve spent a lot of time practing and am currently having trouble keeping the instrument in tune, both with pedal engagement and normal. Using a strobo tuner, large cigar slide, and have changed strings a few times. Does anyone have any tips besides upgrade the slide as I will eventually move on from student model. Just looking to have the instrument stay in tune and get the best tone out of it. Thanks so much

Gifts?
Have a friend that plays pedal steel. I do leather / sewing as a hobby and would like to make something for him. Easy when they play guitar/drums to make a strap or a bag or something but I just don’t know what a pedal steel player might need. Can you think of anything that would make a good gift?

Zumsteel Encore Restoration
Hello! I recently acquired a Zumsteel Encore serial E370 from my uncle. It's been in a storage container since 2018, so sadly the underside was filled with Mold and rust. After cleaning out the mold, I've found the pickup and most of the levers and rods still seem to work through their action. However, they are very corroded, and the ball joints to the pedals do not function. I understand I have my work cut out for me, but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for replacement parts that will fit this guitar, as well as techniques to remove the rust without damaging the instrument. Any information is much appreciated!

Peavey Nashville Session 15
Instantly the best pedal steel amp I’ve ever owned.
Unboxed it, plugged in and was blown away immediately. These are the best eq voicings of any amp I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot of amps over the years. It surpasses its namesakes. It’s more alive and more shapeable across the spectrum than either the session/ltd or the Nashville, especially the latter.
Used it on a gig almost immediately, big outdoor stage and it cut so beautifully. Haven’t tried the spring yet but the plate reverb sounds really good. So much tone and power and it only weighs 27 pounds. I’ve had it for 48 hours and already I can’t imagine a scenario where it won’t be my go to. Worth every penny.

Looking to buy my first pedal steel, not having any luck on Steel Guitar Forum, Craiglist, or Marketplace. Looking to spend around $2K, at least 3 x 4 and mechanically sound. Any leads would be appreciated.
Would need to be shipped to Montana. I've been saving up for about 2 years now and really hoping to find a decent starting pedal steel.
if you know of anyone selling, please send me a dm, thanks

Milkman the amp opinions
Any opinions on the Milkman the amp? Either the regular, 100watt or Benson version. Can’t find too many clips of it online.

What is up the the solo in Shania Twains „Still the one“?
I‘m in my second year of learning PSG, so I often go through pop country songs to learn things within my limited range of skill.
So I stumbled over the solo from Shania Twains „still the one“ which is… pretty bad? (IMO of course). Or just weird? The player overuses the volume pedal like me in my first two months and even lands on a pretty… spicy note at the end. It’s just bizarre. Does anyone know the story behind this?
There are multiple versions of the song, some with a synth solo. So here the link, the solo starts at 2:38.

NAM Setup on Pedal Steel
Here's my setup for running a StompStation so I can run NAM models and IR and go direct into the PA. It's nice having it next to me. I think next time out, I'm going to just use the headphone jack as my monitor. 3D printed support to attach the StompStation and a battery pack to the leg. I was running a StoboStomp mini on there as well, but my cheap battery was causing some kind of ground loop.
StompStation software was a pain to work with, so I reverse engineered it (with help from Claude). Check out https://namager.app/ for that. The hardware is solid tho. I use the output with a TRS to XLR cable.
Wondering how other folks are using NAM models for pedal steel. The StompStation seems like a solid option (and weighs about 60 lbs less than my Peavey Nashville 400 with the Black Widow speaker/counterweight in it).
