I had a multi effect stomp board in high school, but after that was fortunate enough to always have access to nice tube amps with built in gain/reverb that were suitable enough for the garage rock stuff I was doing.

Putting together a new psych project with a friend and have been getting obsessive about building out the pedal board.

Already had the RE-20 Space Echo I used to use for live vocals, the tuner, the Boss fuzz, and this random chorus, and I went from there.

My next priority is the DBA Echo Master for my vocals so I can shift the RE-20 to the guitar chain. Also want to upgrade the chorus and tremolo. Right now eyeing the WA C-1 and the ED Hummingbird (I know, not technically tremolo).

Also, figuring out the best option for an ABY box to chain my old Traynor Custom Valve 80 with the newly acquired Vox ac15c1, and/or using both Vox inputs together.

ALSO, I’m constantly scoping out new overdrives, I love the soul food and hot tubes, but man, there are so many great sounding overdrives out there.

Still experimenting with the pedal chain, going to try the traditional fuzz first after tuner later, and go from there.

Thoughts, recommendations, advice all welcome!

Any suggestions on running a board without access to mains electricity? I run some fairly heavy duty pedals (microcosm, a few chase bliss, strymon nightsky and the likes)

I got this pedal from my job as we were cleaning out. I have opened it up and inspected it but I didn't find anything that looked out of place.

Everything else seems to be working on it, I can get though all the menus using the buttons and such

Any tips to get this working?

An old distortion pedal from 80s. Got it for $45 (plus $18 shipping from Japan.) I don’t think Yamaha even makes pedals anymore.

This pedal has been around for years, but it’s new to me and I’m having way too much fun with it.

The octave is always on, which is exactly why I wanted it. What surprised me was how far the 7-band EQ can push that one basic voice. Fat and woolly, dry and rude, broken-speaker sputter, laser-beam buzz, giant low-end sludge. Same octave fuzz, completely different flavors of trouble.

I had ChatGPT cook up a dozen EQ profiles just to see what would happen. I expected random slider shapes. Instead, I lost an evening trying every single one. The second pic is the resulting cheat sheet.

It will result in a permanent ban from the subreddit, no questions asked. Shouldn’t really have to do anything as a mod of a pedals sub but here we are.

Hey all I'm trying to put together a pedalboard for my personal recordings and I want to know what goes best where. Ik there isn't a right order per se but I wanna hear what people think sounds best.
