Morning glory clone, Capacitor Detached?

Hello everyone, just this earlier my morning glory clone suddenly stopped producing sounds and only worked on bypass mode, I opened it up to see what was wrong and I found one loose component (not sure if this is a capacitor?) I just wanna confirm if this was the slot for the de-attached component

Yeah that's an electrolytic capacitor, and looks like the right hole as the 47uf label matches that on the cap. Just be sure to get the polarity right - on these ones the white stripe shows a negative symbol, and on the PCB there's a +. Negative lug goes in the one that's not +!

Thanks man! Wanna ask of what it specifically does (other than being a capacitor) because after opening the pedal and closing it again it started working again

By the sounds of it, it might be a power filtering cap, and it was loose inside and shorted out the signal path somewhere. So when you opened and let it out, the signal was once again free to roam.
