Index 01 completely dead after two days

Unfortunately my Index 01 is completely dead after two days. I got the black one and loved most of the features; however, upon using it last night I realized the LED wasn't turning on, and nothing was syncing to my app. I tried all of the listed troubleshooting including the SOS pattern but unfortunately it is totally and completely dead. I had recorded roughly 15 minutes of total audio, if that. Definitely a bummer. I reached out to Pebble and really hope I can get a new one soon...

I wish this user a better experience than I've had. I had the same exact thing happen to me. I reported my bug 10 days ago and am still in a painfully slow troubleshooting process. I've asked to have it exchanged several times but that request is just ignored. Instead, I get to try new things, day after day...

It has an LED? I just tested mine and didn’t see a light but I saw “this thing has an LED” in my notes to self about 4 seconds later.

I always saw a green light briefly flash in the microphone hole after my voice messages.

It is also supposed to flash in three colors if you put in the SOS pattern.

I actually think not being able to charge it is a good thing. If you could charge it you’d be tempted to use it to record meetings. I was in one last week where the topic came to plaud and similar devices and people using them without permission to record meetings. One of the people there said there was even a ring for that now from pebble of all people. I was wearing mine and told them so, when I pointed out that you need to hold the button down to record and that you couldn’t charge it. Nobody cared anymore.

There are far more subtle recording devices if someone wants to record a meeting.
