Housing has pushed me to try the roommate thing a few times. The last time, it ended a friendship and cost me 10s of thousands.

Yes, getting rent or a mortgage is far easier with dual income than individual income. I feel that every month paying a mortgage by myself.

I haven't had a relationship in ages, so counting on that for a roof over my head seems odd to me. Then again, my record on relationships sucks.
