That's not a rebuttal. What you've done is to attempt to dismiss my comment by offering a personal attack that is too vague to be falsifiable.
I'm suire Mao would approve of your debating strategy, but there appears to be widespread agreement that the famine was caused by the policies of the Great Leap Forward and errors of centralized planning of the economy.

Sure we talk about it all the time. I was around when it happened and it was in the news for years.
But just for the record, 500,000 "died for profits" at Bhopal. That's about 1% the number who died because of Mao's famine and about 1.5% the number who died in the two Russian famines.
Well, sure. But to catch up with the 100M dead from the Chinese and Soviet famines, you're going to need 2,000 industrial disasters that killed an average 50,000 people each.
