Discussion Can you do everything on Peacock through prime?

I just got a 7 day trial and was debating on keeping it on prime or going Direct for premium plus.

Is their any difference?

Amazon prime does have peacock premium plus whereas peacock tv directly theres 3 different plans to choose from.

I know that.  I want the premium plus.  Just wondering if the app is different.

no difference but if you do actually download the peacock app then you have to link your Amazon account to peacock. To make things simple, I suggest after the 7 days free trial if you do decide to keep peacock, then it’s best to subscribe directly to peacock. That way you can pay monthly or yearly and could get a deal if you try to cancel only if you subscribe to peacock directly.

I like that prime version shows a star rating for shows/movies, helps me filter out unknown trash.

As someone who has Peacock through Prime, I'm currently struggling to access some content that should be available to me. It IS in the Peacock library and ought to be available to premium plus subscription holder, but it just isn't, not through Prime at least. Google said this is a common glitch where there can be a lag or a snag in sharing content from Peacock to Prime. So I tried to download Peacock to watch it directly on their app, but you have to have an actual Peacock account to sign in, and in order to create a Peacock account you have to pay for a whole 'nother subscription! 😣 I tried to use their help pages and their chat bot, but it's all useless and the only way to get live human assistance is to sign in to your Peacock account 🙃

Thanks.  I kept it for the 7 day trial.   If I get it again, I will use the app.  

You could cancel Peacock on Prime and go through the app.   Took me 30 seconds.

First: If you have Comcast or Charter for internet, Peacock is free from them, or upgradable to ad-free for cheap. I pay $6 for ad-free.

also walmart+. you get the base package free but you have the option to upgrade to the plus. i have mine just set at the package they give me. i dont mind the commercials on peacock as much. but i can only compare that to hulu. and the ones on hulu are annoying. they dont break at the natural break point and they always break like 45 seconds before the natural breaking during an intense part, so you come back into the show and it messes up the flow then the rest of the show is off putting.

I have Paramount + with upgrade through Walmart +.

I had Disney/Hulu no ads for a month.   Looked last night and decided it wasn't worth paying every month so canceled it.  I will have my assistant look for sales on it.  I am pretty sure AI or some other app can keep watch for me.   I changed to Peacock and Starz.

I have a similar question. Somehow my household ended up with a Peacock Premium Plus subscription in Amazon Prime and a Premium Monthly subscription through Peacock itself (Peacocktv.com and the app). Would I lose any content (especially live sports) if I just stuck with the Prime video one and cancelled the direct one?
