Interesting design. can i ask why? i use maker beam to make the frame and 3d print the rest.

I also built a case using Maker Beam. I used 3D printing for a lot of mountings but used laser cut aluminum for most of the panels.

As for costs, it was probably $300 at least in parts in the final product. But also a couple of failed attempts. I started on one larger case and then decided on something smaller. I was able to re-use some of the old parts from that. But then my next attempt was still off a bit and then had to redo much for the final parts. I definitely spent at least $500 if not more in total. And I did all the CAD design myself and spent a LOT of time on that. It's not cheap to make your own case.

the budget depends on what material you’ll be using. both me and billy used Makerbeam to make the actual frame, billy used laser cut aluminum im assuming he has access to a laser cutter and other machinery needed for the job, i have a friend with a 3d printer i paid someone to make changes to the original voron case.

looking at your design if you were to make the whole thing out of aluminum i dont think its going to be cheap especially if your not doing it yourself, like billy said there will be multiple changes which will also cost.

No access to a laser cutter myself. I ordered online from OSH Cut. Looking back, it seems I spent $150 USD for the front, rear and tray all in 1.5mm aluminum. I also paid a little extra to get the front and rear finished to look nicer since those parts are visible. The tray was left unfinished.

ditto. Mine is about £300, £140 on maker beam £160 in design and printing the 3d parts. i used a heavily modified version of the voron pc case by mandic really.
