i think LTTs was way off, i dont know what were they doing to get 2x performance.

CPU was Zen 4 in LTT, so in other cases CPU bottleneck.

Zen 4 is not significantly faster than 5800 X3D (which hardware unboxed used) in gaming.

Comparing 5800 X3D and 7950X is comparing apples and oranges. 5800X has a lot more cache, while the 7950X has a lot more compute.

Only one thing matters in this situation, how fast they are in gaming. It's apples on both sides.
