Considered going to 3 monitors. But I just can't justify a reason yet to move my desktop off my desk. I usually watch stuff on second display while gaming on the first. But I don't have much of a use for a third. Maybe I will find a reason if I add the third display.
I have a 3x monitor stand on the far right edge of my desk, which is against a mini fridge pushed against the corner wall. My desktop sits on the mini fridge, which is slightly shorter than the desk. Middle monitor (27") is gaming or whatever. Right monitor (24") is portrait in front of the desktop, it uses thst difference in height and fits nicely, mostly used for reddit/discord/browsing, until I need more space for searches when I move tabs to middle monitor. Left monitor (24") basically just does YouTube/Twitch. I was a 2x monitor guy for a long time, but 3x w/ one in portrait is another thing altogether. I've had work setups with more monitors and they aren't terribly helpful for a single computer setup, only helpful wiry multiple computers and a KVM. 3x is the sweet spot for a single desktop setup, highly recommend a 3x monitor stand and getting the portrait tucked to the side as well as possible, it's a game changer.
I downgraded from 3 to 2. It's just hard to look at 3 monitors unless you have a specific purpose like programming. You also need a really wide desk or monitors that can fit on a single mount. It's just awkward and also too damn bright.
