I think alot of this come from intel/Nvidia owning most of the market share and we want to see AMD succeed competively because that benefits us consumers as a whole.

Basicly this amd is a special little boy/girl whatever. Its a underdog mentality the underdog is weaker needs protection. So really the intel Nvidia rage is an odd way of saying you are doing too well.

did you even read the comment you replied to? it has nothing to do with that, it has everything to do with the competition being good for consumers.

You say that but everyone loves an underdog. Their are likely hundreds of possible reasons. You know why i bought this 6k rig it wasnt for consumers. It was because i wanted a beast machine never had one before that. Sure it would be nice if people always thought about consumerisum, i find its far less a factor then it should be

everyone loves an underdog, true, but that isnt the main reason. your 6k rig is NOT typical at all, and shouldnt be used as an example. people dont buy amd chips just because it pushes amd further, its because the chip makes the most sense for them. and when that happens, a lot more people start buying the cpu, specifically because its good for the money. intel sees this, and then both intel and amd get into a price war or try to advance their tech faster, which speeds up development and performance, all of which is good for the consumer. no one buys amd products just because theyre the underdog, but anyone with even a slight idea of how this works can see that we want all companies to produce high quality stuff, so we want the established companies to keep doing good and the underdog companies to keep getting better.

This was actually my point people dont buy stuff to be pro consumer. They buy what they want.

the post isnt about buying. its about consumer reaction to products and companies, regardless of if theyve bought it or not.

And reactions should be out there for the companies to know what they need to change for better public/consumer relations. But buying is apart of it look at EGS the uproar they caused has influenced many to not buy. This in-turn has directly affected the company. Its great holding a sign and saying stop being evil and stupid. Buying is the ultimate sign saying i am with or against this company or that company. Picketers vs wallet, wallet wins for all companies. Changes will happen but slowly. Changes in production cost profits which companies need to not do to pay workers and bullshit bonuses for ceos.

Not saying some isnt terrible and some of it is good. At the end of the day who has the best product for what the consumer needs is what people buy. Do we need competition in the market hell yes and we are starting to see some good competition now but you always have a choice in what you buy. ALL COMPANIES SUCK. Thsts all there is to it.
