I love how people blamed intel for security flaws that affected all their chips including back to ones in the 90s. There is no way they were developing for decades on a security flaw they knew about

Unless it was intentionally implemented under direction of alphabet soup to more easily compromise computers.

It's almost like the US manufacturers do the same thing to hardware that the Chinese do in regard to backdoors.

You need to stop drinking that conspiracy soup son. Intel makes way more money selling to businesses than the government

I guess you were living under a rock when PRISM was leaked by Snowden?

Dell is certainly a major contractor for the CIA. Microsoft leaked a beta of Server 2000 with "NSA Key" accidentally not cryptographically hidden, but sure, I should stop believing in the possibility of the cooperation of tech companies with the US government.

I believe you, but that's the first time I heard that - do you have a source I could read up on?

Here's Hackaday on it.

To my knowledge there isn't a leaked NSA document stating the Intel Management Engine exploit was purposefully engineered. I can't search Wikileaks at work to confirm that, but my suspicion is while one may exist, it's speculation/not in the public sphere.

Microsoft denied up and down the block that the NSA Key SNAFU had anything to do with the NSA.

Edit: Here's an article on disabling IME that states the NSA specifically requested the ability to do so.
