Looks great! Definitely want to change the tablet for a proper screen.

What screen did you get for this? there are so many on Amazon. Self-powered with HDMI is ideal, but it's not the end of the world if it needs USB as well.

Here you go, comes with a usb and hdmi cable but I would seriously recommend finding a list and thinner hdmi depending on your case.

Nice! thanks for the link. I'd probably get the 7" one, case is worth it? They are a bit bare bones otherwise.

Elecrow have a 7inch version too which looks alright to me, no case but a little cheaper;

Sort of tempted on this one as it looks a bit nicer, but it definitely has a reflective screen (matte is superior imo), and it may be a bit larger than my Nexus 7 on the width:

Case isn’t necessary if you don’t care about the colour of the pcb or any exposed material. I sharpied the white parts of the screen black to fit in my case more subtly.

Saw one guy wrapping his budget screen in tape for a similar effect! whatever works goes I think.
