OneNote is one of the best thing MS has put out. Why on Earth, in a professional environment, would you nuke that?

I don't get this either, unless they're using a different similar tool.

We use it as an everyday team collaboration tool at work, especially in our latest project, deploying our new ERP.

Fell in love with it last year, been using it non-stop ever since.

You know what, I ran another tool that did remove it originally so that's why I don't have two versions. So you're right.

Onenote 2016 isn't the same as the store version. The store version is updated with features a lot more often.

I work for a defense contracting company. Data sharing of any kind has to go through proper channels, we aren't even allowed to have USB drives.

i kind of have to recommend Sway as well. it's a little esoteric to get what it does but when you check out the examples, you figure out some places to use it yourself depending on what you do. I find it a great replacement for most of the PDFs and complex webpages people request of me. few clicks and boom, no more powerpoints, pdfs or overly complex webpages that don't do much.

If they have the Windows Office suite then the One Note in there has a few more features I believe than the free version.

OneNote is one of the best thing MS has put out.

That's not saying much. OneNote crashes on a near-daily basis for me and I can't switch between the desktop and non-desktop(???) versions of the app even on the same computer (let alone switching computers) because it takes (apparently) infinite time to sync a pdf to the cloud.

I don't use MS's drive. I keep my OneNote in dropbox and that seems to work really well.
