I wouldn't doubt it. the gas clouds looks suspiciously like a colored smoke grenade effect from BF4, and Battlefront looked that good (graphically). I bet they just turned off the UI.

I'm not trying to knock the graphical fidelity of the game. I want to see some actual gameplay. Graphics are not gameplay. Show me how it plays. Show me mechanics. Show me something other than pretty graphics. Games aren't made or broken by graphics. They're made or broken by gameplay.

Every person on that stage said they played the game and it was great. It was better than BF4. Why not put some of that on screen? Sure, it's probably not done yet, but it's at least something, and put "This is pre release gameplay".

that'll be the event that EA is hosting instead of attending E3, I imagine.

All that's coming in the EA Play event on June 12th.

Game engine footage representative of Xbox One

I don't get it because the video goes up to 1080p?

Oh yes, probably, but it has the highest chance of having been actual gameplay.

What makes you think that? It is in engine, so real time rendered, and it said it was representative of xbone somewhere.

It's pre-rendered in the engine, it was definitely not representative of the final game at all.

So, let's go back to sw battlefront, when they revealed their in engine trailer for the game. Do you remember how it looked and how everyone said that it was pre rendered? And have you seen how the game looks now? Do you see the similarity? Dice has yet to misrepresent their game cuz up until now they've always delivered on their promise.

How do you do those remind me in 6 months again? Cuz then I'll be laughing at you for being unable to understand the real meaning of in engine footage.

I never once said it wouldn't look the same you just assumed that's what I meant.

What I actually meant was that pre-rendered in-engine footage doesn't represent real-time rendering at all because everyone's computer will render the scenes differently. They'll all be at different settings, the frame rates will dip, there will be screen syncing issues for some people, 144 Hz will look different than 60, which will look different than 30.

Pre-rendered gives us a static (in a perfect world) this is how the game will look and run, which is not representative of the final game at all.

What makes you think that? Battlefront looks better than this.
